Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?
Saw what I think is my first one today. On a packed, sweaty northern line train a gent got on wearing a C40 Speedhawk.
First Speedhawk I've seen and quite liked it, though far too big for me

Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?
I have never seen another person wearing a CW. I do not obsessively look at other people's watches but I do not expect to find very many CW are here in NC, USA. If it had not been for the internet and watch website forums of which I do not even belong to, I would have never heard about CW or became intrigued enough to become an owner. But I am happy that I did.
The closest I have came to seeing a stranger where a CW is this instagram post:

Went for my first post-op walk yesterday, and saw at least 3 CWs on wrists in the Canary Wharf Waitrose, my wife says it's because I'm not looking at the food
CW advertise a lot in the estates own glossy magazine, so it's not a surprise there are many of us here
Including my own boss, who asked me, out of the blue if I'd heard of C.H.R Ward, and what did the CHR stand for (He's Portugese), when I last saw him he was just about to but a 38mm C5.

Watches are like Dictionaries; the worst is better than none, and the best cannot be expected to go quite true.

Had my first Cw sighting at Boston airport! It was a trident!!
Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?
Surely CW watch spotting must be alot more frequent these days considering that over the years CW have probably sold many thousands of watches?
My wife thinks I have too many watches but I'm not sure.
Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?

I hadon't never seen a CWL live until I got mine. Actually I have not seen most of my watches on the street. Oris r weil or cwchuckf1 wrote:I've never seen anyone, aside from watch forums, wearing a CW. But that goes for all the watches I wear, CW, or not.

I saw one today - in a hotdog shop. I was thinking look at that flash git in his Crew shirt and fancy grey bezelled diver with leather nato...
Then realised it was a C60 MKI (GMT I think), oh and I had my C11 on and was wearing a Crew polo shirt......

Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?
I was in my local Chisholm Hunter yesterday getting a bracelet adjustment/battery on a couple of watches. The two youngish guys serving remarked on the nice watch I was wearing, my C65 Trident Classic LE, and asked for a look. I was quite surprised to learn that neither of them had heard of CW. I explained it was a British watchmaker, in the top 50 most desirable watch brands and well known to watch afficianados. They seemed suitably impressed but pointed to the other well know British watchmaker Bremont that the happen to be an AD for.
They have quite an interesting selection of watches that I can look at when I pass for my daily lunchtime latte - Hamilton, Ball, Bremont, Oris, Mont Blanc, Tissot, Raymond Weil, Baume & Mercier. They also now sell pre-owned, nearly new Rolex. There were a few DJ's, GMT II and a SD looking very tempting alas very expensive
One quirky watch they were promoting was the Raymond Weil Beatles LE https://www.jurawatches.co.uk/collectio ... t1-rw-1263 probably fun if you are a big fan of the Fab Four!
Anyway hopefully spread the CW word a little further.

Never seen a CW in the wild yet. Only ever in WRUW threads in the forums

Never seen one, and I'm increasingly scanning folks wrists. Probably for the best else I could see myself opening a nerdy conversation about it... Don't get me wrong, I'm a genuine fan, but some things are best enjoyed privately
