Re: How often do you see strangers wearing a CW?
For the first time today I was in a meeting in London when I spotted a fellow attendee wearing a CW (a C11 auto on some sort of aftermarket black leather strap).
It wasn't the sort of meeting that was suitable for having a casual chat about watches, unfortunately.
However, it was quite an upmarket gathering (excepting yours truly, of course) in that also attending were a JLC Reverso, a JLC Master Moonphase, a 2-tone Datejust II, a Cartier Tank of some sort and a couple of gold dress watches (possibly Omegas from the 1960/70s).
There was plenty to try to identify during the bits of the meeting that didn't concern me.

Were there any people at the meeting besides yourself?Drmarkf wrote:For the first time today I was in a meeting in London when I spotted a fellow attendee wearing a CW (a C11 auto on some sort of aftermarket black leather strap).

Not long after I started looking at CW's. I met a guy on a friends stag do wearing, what i think was a C5 Malvern. He didn't seem to know anything about it, or didn't want to talk about it. even after complementing him on it and inquiring as to his thoughts as i was looking at buying one.

Yeah, very funny.poppydoodlesdad wrote: Were there any people at the meeting besides yourself?![]()

I hadn't seen a TT DJ II on the wrist before, and they really do look very blingy.

Aparrently I missed one yesterday as someone came in wearing a C60, I was told. He was very surprised that the sales staff knew the brand.

It would be a heinous crime if your staff didn't know about CWL; wouldn't it Kip?Kip wrote:Aparrently I missed one yesterday as someone came in wearing a C60, I was told. He was very surprised that the sales staff knew the brand.

It certainly would, but no chance of that happening.

It will be like to watch dork Wonder Twins looking for each other. I shouldn't be that hard to find... most of the time my watch hand is holding a cold beer!Lewis wrote:I have only seen the one I got my buddy to buy. That being said i'm here in Denver as well. Saw a C70 BRG (or similar) on a spectator when I was at Lords in July.
Only time I've seen one out there.
