Kip,
is it possible to get some information on distribution of CWs in the USA without disclosing any confidential information?

I know the location of 3 CWs in NC but would be interested.

I think that with a population of some 165,000,000 the chances of you coming across another CW are slim over there.

Where as us in Blighty with about 60,000,000 and an Island the size of a large farm in the USA we will have more chance, unless of course you attend the "winchester" ctg where you will see many "strange" persons with around 50 CW watches between them......most of which are owned by the strangest one....I B :D

Anyone wearing a CW spotted in Hong Kong will be my next best bud.

For the record, there's been none, and all jewelers I have spoken to also heard nothing of the brand, nor any discussion of CW on any of our local Internet forums. In contrary, there seem to be a small but prominent fellowship of the Steiny on the other hand. And even more strangely, regular updates on new releases from CW are being widely covered on the China mainland websites. :o

Just before Christmas I walked into a small meeting at work, and here were my first words, "is that a Christopher Ward C9 Harrison Jump Hour?" And sure enough, it was! I was stoked. Although it was someone I knew, I hadn't had a meeting with him in probably a year and certainly had never discussed watches with him. Anyway, he also has a C9 GMT. Needless to say, I was excited to find another watch lover (I cannot ever find any of these either) and especially a CW one.

Today it finally happened...someone I didn't know was at the store and was wearing a C5GWT. We talked a bit and he left with a catalog drooling over the C700. 8)

Awesome, Kip! I was talking to a guy at a party last night, and he told me that he has a C15. But it wasn't a complete stranger situation since he was a friend of the same guy who introduced me to CWL.

Well I guess I am more likely to bump into a CW collector in the mainland PRC than in Hong Kong I guess :)

Also despite the general perception of how brand conscious the Asian public, and especially the mainland PRCs population are, there have been some improvement in quality appreciation in China. I was very surprised to know how much Nomos were sold in China and that how it's been made very difficult for HK AD to source Nomos.

I consider the interests from mainland PRC on CW shows a positive sign on the quality of the brand. Considering there has been zero marketing (well none I have noticed at least) so the enthusiasts were attracted by the quality only.

I would agree on everything Aifo has just posted having been a "resident" of HK, so good luck with the CW hunting, I would expect you to see one on an "Expat" rather than a local

It has only gone & bloody happened!!

At work the other day & a colleague came up to me and said those words...... Is that a Christopher Ward?'
I was wearing my 'work' watch, my yellow C600.

Work obviously stopped for the next half hour as we discussed the brand in depth. Thinking back, I was gushing how impressed I am with the c600 & the other 2 I own (C5 & fle '09). Looking forward to buying the new 7750 thats coming out later this year... Or so Im hoping :).

Further update!!!

2 other colleagues at work have come out of the woodwork! One said he brought a C3 'around 5 years' ago. He has shown me a picture & it is Swiss Movement on the dial. Then another colleague said...'Yeah, I have a Christopher Ward (not CHR WARD!). So, from zero to 3 in a couple of weeks!

What's the scoop on the next CW with a 7750? Not sure I recall but am interested. I also assume it is not the mono-pusher chronograph mentioned in the latest CW Magazine.

Must admit, I've never seen another on anyones wrist.
Mind you, I'm fairly new to CW so perhaps I've missed them.
