That's the one small niggling doubt that might put me off any Pepsi GMT model. Not that I'm against any Rolex watch, it would just niggle to get into the whole discussion that it's not what someone might think. Mind you, it was extremely amusing about 20yrs ago when someone thought my old Accurist quartz chrono was a Breitling!

But no, not influenced anyone to purchase yet. Although one colleague has been persuaded to look at the web site, and a friend who is aware of the brand was pleased to see one "in the metal" for the first time. I can work on them....
So I wish I was James Bond, just for the day.

One of my C3's had attracted a lot of looks and positive comments over the years. My Speedbird was noticed by a mate who really liked it and couldn't believe the price of it for the standard, especially once he went online and read the spec for himself. My IWC Chrono got a load of interest in a pub near Covent Garden last summer. Apart from that, not really much else. I don't think all that many people are aware of them in any particular sense tbh.

Cheers,
Jack.

I feel cwl can be very influential because their watches are great value and great introduction watches into the world of luxury watches. Someone sees my cwl and I tell them about it and they might think it's expensive but not insane. They are already trying to justify the price for themselves if they like the watch. On the other hand if I was wearing a jlc reverso even if a non wis likes the watch once they hear the price they well never consider that watch, and possibly luxury watches all together, again. That's why cwl can be more influential than most of the big hitter brands.
