How easy to change CW straps?

Post by James45 »

Hi, first post. I'm pretty much set on the C3SWT but just wondered how easy it is to change the straps on CW watches if I wanted to interchange different colour straps for different occassions, not just if they wear out! :D

Welcome James45,
It's fairly easy to change straps on a CW watch. All you need is a Spring bar tool and a little patience.
If you google spring bar tools they are readily available for not much money.
Hope this helps http://www.watchworx.co.uk/pages/access/tools.html

That's a video I made, not Chris, I do hope Chris has a better English pronunciation than mine :)

Your sexy Dutch accent is better than Chris's Liverpudlian any day.

I was just going to post that it was Hans that made the video, not Chris, but Hans beat me to it. Hans, I think your pronunciation is great. Glad my watch ignorance is paying off for others. Heopfully, I can be completely ignorant about additional topics so others can benefit. Just doing my part in the world.

I've done this task for some years, as many of my 'finds' need straps. Indeed. it is not difficult, but it does require an English 'well I never' or 'bless me' when you hear a little ping on the ceiling. Keep and clean all the pins you take out. One day... (don't forget to swap your signed buckle/fastener when replacing an original)

Hans,

I would like to apologise. :( Thanks for the videos. Your prononciation is very clear (something that a no 'anglophone' always appreciate). :)

Regards,
