Thank you for those posts Gary - I'd forgotton just how good the C6/60 looked, and I do like the 'loud hands' Omega!

I have seen many different, and quite well done, mods but I admit that, aside from straps, I am an OEM guy myself as well.

I've always believed that the search for *that* watch (or *that* anything) -- the one that contained all the elements I liked or wanted or believed important -- was the quest.

Thanks Paul. The liquid filled C6 is one of the best mods I've ever seen. It's not only a great piece of engineering, it's a superb end result - something that is sometimes lost in the chase...

Too late. Korkki has a patent on that one.

That's ok. I'll be getting one for my moon phase complication fashioned from butter and duct tape

Overall, IMHO, the modding of watches has to a case (pardon the pun) of each to his/her own and, as has already been written, its your watch to do with what you want.

We then get into a minefield of results and opinion as to whether the mods 'work' and what their value on the watch might be. Some will win :D some will lose. :problem:

I've got a pair of CWs that I'm thinking of modding.

One is a C11 MSL black PVD with white indices/hands the other is a C11 MSL S/S with vintage indices/hand. I'm thinking, simply, of switching the dial/hands between cases to give me a black PVD with Vintage and a S/S with white (both combinations of which were originally available). Food for thought.

One of my favourite forums is one that is populated by chaps who only wear modded watches and it is always interesting to read how someone has modified a watch to suit their tastes. If I had the wherewithal, I wouldn't hesitate to modify my C10FLE and C20 but I know I would end up with something that is less 'more than the sum of its parts' and more a sum of parts.

Had a couple of modded Siekos.

I quite like Bamford Watch Company, they professionally modify Rolex's, they come up with some great combos!

Oh for sure, different ends of the spectrum. Either way, I'm all for modding.
