Help!
Help!
So the Atoll which arrived on Friday appears to have stopped…
It definitely hasn’t been dropped or anything, I wore it briefly over the weekend, and it was running last time I checked. But when I looked at it today it’s not moved past the time shown here
Is there anything worth doing other than getting in touch with CW? I haven’t heard anything from them despite emailing them about the bracelet not being resized

Re: Help!
You say you wore it briefly after it arrived - I know it's a pretty obvious question but has the reserve just run out? Have you tried restarting it with a couple of winds?
Time flies whether you're having fun or not. The choice is yours.
Re: Help!
I just realised I needed to do that, very good point! Clearly not awake after watching the Super Bowl last night haha

Re: Help!
I can see the link Richard made, but hopefully you won’t need it.

Re: Help!
^^^ Good result! As to the idiocy, you will have discovered by now that you have plenty of brethren here on the forum.
However, that particular lapsus mentis is rare on watch forums, for obvious reasons. It puts me in mind of a story I have told before, but rather like PG Wodehouse’s Oldest Member, I shall tell it again:
On a holiday in Turkey a few years ago a young chap in our group bought a “TAG” from one of the tourist shops. A couple of days later, knowing I was interested in watches, he brought it to me with a most sorrowful expression. It had stopped, thank goodness he had the receipt, he could take it back for a new battery or a refund/replacement. I gave it a shake and heard the rotor move. I took pity on him and showed him how an automatic worked. Then headed for the hand sanitiser.
That was definitely my good deed for the year.

^^^ I remember those books!
Watching a Sunday afternoon foursome struggling up the 18th... Very amusing reading indeed. I always read Mike by PGW about this time of year just to get myself in the cricket spirit again!

Re: Help!
Congratulations on securing the mythical Atoll.
This watch was released some months ago, and quickly sold out. It was noted as appearing and almost immediately disappearing again a few days ago, and it wasn't at all clear how many there were, if any. So your timing must have been spot on to secure one. (and on a bracelet)

Re: Help!
Thanks, yes I was lucky! When I was looking on the site last week I was choosing between the Atoll and the C60 Sapphire and plumped for the Atoll. Managed to get through checkout and have it delivered, I was fairly surprised when it disappeared after that, so must have been very well timed!JAFO wrote: ↑Tue Feb 14, 2023 1:27 pm Congratulations on securing the mythical Atoll.

I'm hoping to put some photos up of it when I get a chance to take some with my proper camera
