HELP - Need sense talking into me re:flipping my C60
Re: HELP - Need sense talking into me re:flipping my C60
As somebody who has owned the everest it is not as good looking as the c60 in my opinion, it is quite long in appearance I felt lug to lug.. and did not suit my smallish 7.5 inch wrist.. c60 has always impresssed me though on leather, bracelet or nato, it is just so versatile

can you REALLY not see the assumption of ETA superiority here?robert75 wrote:Never understood what the attraction was with the "Smiths Everest" Eddie does make some nice watches but this one (IMO) Just isnt one of them and why on earth you would want to flog a C60 ETA movement divers watch for a miyota movement watch thats just using the name of an iconic watch is beyond me.
Ok for me the C60 has a nice distinctive look about it. Its not a Steinhart "Looks like a Rolex but isnt a Rolex" Though it needs to go on a rubber divers strap rather than a nato. Dont know what colour your one is but I am yet to see one I dont like.
If you are really so taken by a Smiths watch buy a vintage Everest for the same money!

The PRS-25 is relatively inexpensive so "BOTH!" is the obvious response.
Do these pictures of my PRS-25 and C60GMT help at all?

Lovely pics of both Loddonite! How do you find the smiths wears as I find the c60 much better

Hm that's strange. While I never owned a Smiths Everest, I had a Bernhardt BBA which has very similar dimensions and lug-to-lug length. I found the C60 wore much larger (actually too large for me) than the BBA and was not particularly bothered by the lug-to-lug length even though my wrist is even smaller at 7".Macca wrote:As somebody who has owned the everest it is not as good looking as the c60 in my opinion, it is quite long in appearance I felt lug to lug.. and did not suit my smallish 7.5 inch wrist.. c60 has always impresssed me though on leather, bracelet or nato, it is just so versatile

The size of the Smiths should suit my wrist size better, but both have a curve to the lugs that work for me, though the C60's is more pronounced. For me there's nothing in it.Macca wrote:How do you find the smiths wears as I find the c60 much better
