I for 1 am glad there is no fle this year, it will give CW less headache at a busy time and we should get the benefit of the merger and new movement developments hopefully coming through next year.
I know there is a few C1 mechanical fans , and I am one of them. 10 years ago the C5, then C3 and C1 were born, it would make sense to rejuvenate the C1 or C3 into a mechanical. Also being slightly smaller at 38/40mm it would make a prime candidate for a unisex watch. Imho.
As much as I want to see the C1 as FLE mech, I'd like even better to see a Burnt Orange dial with a TEXAS LONGHORN logo on the dial! \m/ HOOK EM HORNS!!!!!
Had to work it in . . . I'm a Longhorn and I bleed burnt orange!

A few personal thoughts on the FLE topic. I thought the 2012 method of offering forumites a vote throughout the whole process was a success. I felt involved and a part of deciding the final look of the watch. Indeed, I bought one as I felt obliged having participated throughout. The 2013 watch was chosen by committee, it seemed. Little involvement and interminable delays. A good number got a 'free' watch for having served on the 'committee'. I have no problem with people with much more knowledge than me having greater involvement, but 2013 was a very detached experience. If there is a 2015 FLE, I hope some democracy returns.
Just my opinions, not a criticism!

Martin...I'm afraid you need to get your facts right, old boy! Having served on that "committee" I can assure you that there was no such thing as a free watch! Proof of which, I don't even have a 2013 FLE, and I haven't sold one! Not incidentally, the reason I personally chose not to buy the watch was because the style, case and movement were all voted for by the forum – and the end result was not to my taste.

As far as the 2012 FLE went, I did enjoy the process as a relative newcomer to the forum, though again the watch that was chosen as the basis was not to my taste.

There is one certainty whatever an FLE is not everybody will like it, I myself have only ever purchased one. You only have to look at comments on here to see the differences, lots of people wanting smaller watches but immediately it goes below 42 that's me out. People like me want a watch costing £400, others with a much bigger budget will have desires that my budget will not stretch to. I could go on and on. For me last year's FLE was too plain, too expensive at it's original price and too much like the C2/C20. Others were delighted with it but I am not surprised it was a slow seller unlike the Scooter/Jag which sold out pretty quickly especially the Scooter.
As they say you can't please all of the prople all of the time, and with a bunch of people with views as diverse as ours there is no chance of universal agreement!
You can create your own limited edition. Just get 99 people to agree with you (and preferably put down a large non refundable deposit so that you don't get stung for all the costs when they invariably pull out) and you will have your dream limited edition. Easy.
As Dave says getting everyone to agree is the hardest part.

I was also on the Committee, I had to buy my own FLE, which is still one of my most commented-on watches.
