All their watches look better than on the website. Its been said before and suggested that they post a link to this forum even where there are plenty of real life photos of their watches but even that, you would think with them being an entirely online store they would take their own professional photographs of their watches to really show them off.

I had placed an order on 4th July. I got an email from their customer service that due to a "system error " CW could not raise a charge on my credit card details entered on its portal. Now they are asking my credit card security code so that they can raise an order.
This comes across as very fishy. Wondering if CW is a trustworthy establishment at all. Firstly there is no secure payment gateway on their online portal and now their customer care wants sensitive information on email.
My first experience has been in poor taste.
For others who are awaiting their orders please follow up and beware

Beware of what? How is e-mailing a 3 digit number a risk?

It is not "fishy" it just happens sometimes. Their system stores the card number and expiry date (as most, if not all, online retailers' does) but not the security code.

In the unlikely event that you are even remotely important enough for cyber-criminals to be targeting, they don't have the card details that go with that security code, so what are they going to do with it?

For example, mine is 003. Am I now at risk of my card being maxed out by fraudsters?

I too had an issue, however a quick call to Wera and she explained that there were still a few issues with the website. I gave her my three magic number (549 if anyone is interested :)) and she pushed the order through. @Ratatk Nothing dodgy going on - stop being so paranoid

Same thing happened to me, although I gave the magic number on Wednesday and it still hasn't shipped.
Spoke to them today and they said it should ship today, but no evidence it has.

I don't think there's anything to worry about. The transaction didn't work, so they need to put it through again.
Having met a number of the team, and spoken to them on the phone, I trust them with my credit card info!

Getting impatient for the FLE I ordered over a week ago now!

There's clearly a bit of a disconnect between ordering and shipping, but I just put it down to a bit of disorganisation and being really busy due to the sale - how many watches are they shipping compared to the normal number a week ?

I ordered a nearly-new VW4 and emailed to ask when it would be available, as both the new 50% off ones and the nearly-news said mid-August : I asked if this date applied to the new ones, were they still not in UK and would arrive mid-Aug, but surely nearl-new meant a return or ex-press demo or whatever so were they in-stock and the mid-Aug was just a copy/paste from the other listing ?

Email back 2 days from Wera not answering the question but saying my watch would ship the day after.

3 days later and no despatch-confirm email from CW or the email from DPD re delivery

So I replied to Wera saying that 3 days ago you said it was going to ship the day after but I've heard nothing, so did it ship ?

Day after, Friday, I do get the despatch-confirm email from CW and the other from DPD saying my watch will be delivered Monday: I assumed I'd nudged someone into action, that my watch had maybe been put on one side or something

On Monday I get an email from Were saying that the system showed it shipped Friday.
Then about 1/2 hour later DPD turned-up with it

Just all seems a bit disorganised - not chaotic, not lying to customers, not a rip off, nothing sinister going on at all : just seems like they're a bit overwhelmed by the volumes they're shifting

A bit of patience, is all - it took, what 10 days or so to get my watch ?
Hopefully now I've got it I'll enjoy it for years

My big sale purchase, a NN C3 Malvern chrono, arrived last week.

It is a terrific watch, but, it hasn't been on my wrist yet, which tells me its not a keeper. (my Trident LE hasn't been off my wrist since I got it!).

So, it will be going back under the 60/60 service.

Didn't buy a watch this time, but instead got a couple of straps.

My orange marker C60 GMT now looks amazing on an orange leather strap. Springs bars were included and I curved them using the 2 spoon method.
C90 Power Reserve, C60 GMT, C11 Makaira Pro, C9 Big Day Date - in that order:)

I got a watch in the mail today. Unfortunately, it was not the watch I ordered. Mine was to have been a blue / blue C60 600 and this watch is but the watch I ordered was on a leather strap and the one I received was on a rubber sport strap. That would be an easy enough fix but the one that arrived was engraved.

"AZ" I have your C60 600. I will cheerfully send it to you directly if that is easier than sending it back to London to be sent out again.

Sigh. I get things happen and the three weeks and three days it took to get the wrong watch isn't my issue. Like most of you it's the time involved. I hate redundancy and wasting time.

I have asked Wera to let me know how to proceed but I am reluctant to continue investing time in this order. I will let you know how it works itself out.
