Has Anyone Else Seen This?
Has Anyone Else Seen This?
I came across this article from Oracle Time, for another Bel Canto collaboration.
https://oracleoftime.com/christopher-wa ... no-orange/
I don't know if this article release is premature, if so please remove.

Re: Has Anyone Else Seen This?
I'm not very partial to seemingly endless special editions. I feel it kind of waters down the collection and it can make tracking models confusing, along with possible limited parts disappointment for future servicing and repairs.
I don't like it for other watches that I own (Omega) so Christopher Ward is not alone in this regard.

Re: Has Anyone Else Seen This?
Just picked it up on my google feed and came running over here.
Not sure how I feel about the colour - so it's not an immediate hit - and the fact that it's an LE of 99 shouldn't interfere too much with the production of our FLE.
Wait though... black accents reminiscent of carbon fibre? "To drive home the supercar aesthetic, there are a handful of black accents across the display to represent carbon fibre. Most notable of those are the phoenix’s “beak” and the hour and minute hands". I'm feeling quite sniffy about this.

Re: Has Anyone Else Seen This?
I'm just wondering what the release time will be. The last LE they did was after I ordered a Bel Canto, and yet it will be delivered way earlier than my order.
Have a feeling this will be the same.
If that's the case, I'll start to have a feeling they're just sitting on people's orders while chasing someone else's money.

Re: Has Anyone Else Seen This?
This LE variant appeals to me for its vibrant color. I don’t think it would be a long term color for me. I’m glad to see the thinking for a wider palette with the BC.

Re: Has Anyone Else Seen This?
Another release is certainly keeping it there in my mind to ponder. It’s lending itself to colour changes and tweeks, so who knows - maybe one such will just tip the balance

I certainly hope all the people who ordered their green Bel Cantos get theirs soon and that their dates aren't pushed back because of special collab BCs.

Re: Has Anyone Else Seen This?
I wonder if oracle time have jumped the gun (false start)? This reads to me as if it's a limited edition CW piece, rather than a special private version, but it's not on the CW website.
Maybe @JasH could fill us in. I can't see how to post a link to another thread, but he mentioned something like this was on the way in the bespoke editions thread in March.

Re: Has Anyone Else Seen This?
I rather like that colour, for me it’s the most appealing yet, but while I get that some of the colours are limited, this is now the 8th variant, and 4th LE.
I also read that it’s a special for a McLaren owners group, and it’s a little cheaper than the RRP of the standard variant.

Re: Has Anyone Else Seen This?
Of all the Bel Canto variations, this is my clear favourite. I like the black hour and minute hands and I love the shade of orange.

@JAFO
From the information in the Oracle of Time article it is, to me, clearly a Bespoke order (Oracle of Time mentions collaboration).
In addition I've been in contact overnight with a McLaren owning close friend of mine, who was involved in the two previous McLaren Owners CW bespoke editions, and he is already aware of this Bel Canto.

Re: Has Anyone Else Seen This?
Its a lovely shade of orange and looks great. In some of the other pics the purple sometimes is a bit of a clash.

Re: Has Anyone Else Seen This?
That article was terribly written and gives no information about what it is, the release dates or availability. If it's a private only order then it's of no interest to the rest of us! Looks like a good version of Bel Canto however, up there with the original blue.

Re: Has Anyone Else Seen This?
Will look good behind the wheel of the McLaren! I'm curious as to how CW have arrived at a cheaper price for a bespoke LE though compared to the regular production model.
