Re: Goodison Edition chronograph pre-order announced
My eyes!
What do I say, as a non-footy person.... might the away strip be gentler on the eyes?
Good luck with this one CW.
I have a very sweet tooth but this is one toffee I shan't scoffee hahaha!
ps A soccer themed chrono: shouldn't the minutes subdial run in 45 minute increments?

I hope they washed the match-worn shirt before making it into straps.
A bit too bright a blue for me.
EDIT - I thought it might be a quartz for that price but wanted to check the specs on-line before mentioning it. CW keeping quartz releases in their options (not a problem for me BTW)

There are some really clever design touches to this watch. Well done CW.
I like how the design team have removed the number 2 from the dial as a nod to the 2 point deduction for breaching profit and sustainability rules.
Also the removal of the numbers 10 and 6 point to the
Earlier 10 point dedication reduced to 6 on appeal.

It possibly also indicates their potential 16th place finish in the league for their last season at Goodison.

I don’t support Everton but it’s certainly quite a cool design for a watch. Especially as one of the more historic English clubs, I can see this being very popular. A good price point too!

Re: Goodison Edition chronograph pre-order announced
As a Blue and a watch fan I should love this, I just don't get colabs when it's two things that have little relevance to one another (watches and football, I get the CW link).
The strap, the turnstile backplate and mostly the Archibald Leitch nod are great, but it just isn't for me.
Incorporate the Bel Canto movement but instead of a gentle ding on the hour it's an angry Scouser yelling "C'mon Everton, these are sh*te"?

Re: Goodison Edition chronograph pre-order announced
It's a nice enough watch but I'll be surprised if there aren't a LOT of chances to secure a piece of Goodison history as the demolish the ground. To be in with the chance of securing a piece of Goodison history,
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

If it means enough to enough people who can afford it, it will sell. We should let them enjoy it.

Re: Goodison Edition chronograph pre-order announced
I think this might appeal to Everton fans, at a reasonable price.
Personally, I don't like the subdials being placed at 2,6,10.
I prefer the placements you get with a mechanical chronograph 6,9,12 or 3,6,9.
Some quartz versions manage a 2.5, 6, 9.5 which looks more harmonious to me.
Obviously more expensive, but I did like the Dixie Dean chronograph from a few years ago. I would have happily owned one of those.

Re: Goodison Edition chronograph pre-order announced
Ah, I think this one is fair enough. It should appeal to enough Everton fans and the Goodison/club touches aren't too shoehorned in. Football-related watches are generally pretty awful by comparison so I can imagine this one should get enough traction. And I think it's a smart move to have a quartz rather than automatic movement to keep the price at an appealing point.

The strap colouration: intentionally blotchy?

Re: Goodison Edition chronograph pre-order announced
I think it is just part of the pattern on the shirt. Maybe they will all be the same or unique.
I assume there will be a choice of leather straps but wonder what colours and how they pair with the dial.
Good offer for Everton fans. Chrono for timing, quartz for ease and pricing plus lots of well considered design touches.
With a sales position in the new stadium and tours etc especially when it first opens it doesn't matter if it sells out on day 1 as they will have an accessible option in the shop alongside the regular lines so makes sense.
