Good & Bad Press

Post by I.I.D »

I'm just musing over the two votes that are running at the moment........

I won't be at all surprised if the result of the Forum Watch of the Year make it onto the CWL website, well why wouldn't they want to make advertising capital out of the fact we think either the C50 or the C9 JH are great watches.

But more interestingly, does anyone think that if the "Chr.Ward" - My Personal Opinion: Chr.IKEY! ends up winning Thread of the Year that they would touch it with the proverbial barge pole! It's a fascinating one this, a forum that is devoted to all things CW saluting a thread that largely tears at the very heart of the direction the company is seeking to pursue. It may be too late for them to change course, but they should ignore the important customer sentiments expressed in this excellent thread at their peril.

Personally, I voted for for Loddonite & his Beer  , but the Chr.IKEY came a close second as a defining moment when the CWL / Chr. Ward story unfolded.... or possibly unravelled.

Even more interesting on a watch enthusiasts' forum - the two threads that actually feature watches are trailing by a cricket score at the moment!

But at least the featured watches aren't CW's

I just voted formally for Zinaida and his brilliant post and was disappointed to see that I was the second post to vote for it. I suspect the other voter was Steve.

Admitted! But then I did propose it...
They're all excellent threads by the way, but I just thought this one had something a bit special.

You're right. It is special and it also took some time and effort to complete that post. I'm afraid I found the brand name issue rather tedious after a while. I enjoyed the beer thread. Thought that was good fun.
