I had not appreciated before that the indices and hands were actually metal finish. Quite an interesting detail I thought as I had not picked that up from the CWL site. They looked white. The bezel is also quite fat.

You're right, I don't mind at all. :) The whole reason I posted this is so that folks could see some "in the wild" shots of the watch -- I know I always appreciate it when you guys do the same.

And you're right about the silver indices and hands -- gives it a bit more of a jewelry feel. But what I really like is that you still have those nice applied lume dots around the outside of them. So you get the best of both worlds.

Maybe a stealth version with matte black markers, case, hands and bezel, yet still have a black pearl dial or like a very dark abalone. Would def be masculine and still keep in touch with it's Splash roots... Just throwing stuff out there...
Its going to be a hard thing to do with the available images El Tempo but I have made some mockups for you using some of your ideas to give the watch a "stealth" look. You will just have to use your imagination for the rest. Im not a lover of PVD watches myself but I understand the appeal though and that others will like them. Remember to open/enlarge the images to view them properly.

Enjoy

Okay, while this might highlight my horrible PS skillz, hopefully you get the idea. Blacked out markers, lume rings and hands. This might work with more of the dial colors. Then again, it might not... Source image borrowed from T2 obv...

I would love to see CW produce the one with the orange bezel and the one with the blue/red bezel with metal bracelet with diver's clasp in quartz for USD250 delivered. CW could immediately market a couple of the current offerings to men. 42mm is HUGE for a womens watch.
Thanks,

My vote would be:-

Quartz - No

Automatic - Maybe
No more Quartz (except when I cannot resist).

The 'Pepsi' dial model with the black face and 'nato' canvas strap - awesome.
If its good enough for Bond it's good enough for me.

New to the forum. Only posted a reply as I really want a mans 'splash' diver. I'd love an Omega / Tag but just to expensive.
Seems I can get the same quality but for a fraction of the price with a CW.

Apols, but just don't like the other divers in the range. I' think a submariner / tag / omega type diver with a sensible metal
bracelet and fold-over locking clasp could be CW's biggest seller.

Look at all the main sports watch brands and the sports diver is the biggest money spinner.
Omega Seamaster / Tag Aquaracer / Rolex Sub / etc etc.

Welcome to the forum Mark. Im glad to see you put your vote to good use.

I too like the Pepsi's. The one thing I wouldnt want though is the metal indices. They have to be lume. Nothing else will do for a blokes diving watch. Tritium tubes would be great too.

Still never heard a cheap from CW though. However I think you will see a gents version in time. He would be nuts not to and I think he knows it lol. Although we dont have 100's of votes I wouldnt take it as a bad sign. Forum polls never do well but 78% for is still a good indication of the popularity percentages.

I'm new to the forum, decided to join to vote on a gents splash diver. The green and black 'stealth' looks amazing. Would buy one in an instant.

Some nice mock ups on there, very good work! Personally I don't reaally go for divers watches, unless there's something unusual about them. The danger here is that this kind of style ends up looking like a cheap Rolex knock-off.

Sorry for going a bit off topic, but personally I'd like to see a watch with some rarer features.
For example, an internal timing ring, preferably with GMT markings rather than dive timing: Eg, I saw this on ebay a few years ago:

I haven't been able to find any information about this model - perhaps it's a fake, but I think it went for about $4k.

I love the use of mb-microtec tritium markers in the C600, but I think prefer the look of the traser classic automatic:

I would definitely go for somethhing resembling the blancpain with microtec tritium.

I'm pretty sure Traser did one a few years ago (internal timinng ring, microtec tritium vials), but I can't find any pictures or information about it.

Anyway, a bit off-topic, sorry.
