Two very different watches - brushed with vibrant dial vs lots of shiny with a subdued dial, not to mention the chunky bezel. If I'm wearing a red watch there should be no doubt and 3/4 of the Oris looks black so it's not for me. Hopefully you'll be happy with your choice :)

CW have quite a record for churning out red dial watches, so it's not a exactly a novelty. One in particular I liked, was linked to an italian racing model, I believe, with a thin bezel and brown strap, this would have been with the 2nd logo.

I like the dial colour of this version, but I am not sure a 'silver' bezel is ideal. The black strap provides a stronger contrast. 39mm is limiting.

I am not sure, as per an above post, that you have to be brave to wear a red dialled watch. There's hardly a brand that doesn't make them these day's. I'm a coward and mine get's plenty of wear (Chopard).

curiousdabbler wrote: Thu Jul 14, 2022 9:56 amYou would think more people would be interested in something that's so exclusive; the Atoll went crazy, and then ended up being flipped by some. I keep trying to maintain interest in it, but it's not easy. Cheers!
Lots of people wear a blue watch, few are brave enough to wear a red one. I wouldn't worry yet as I'm sure some people are waiting until later in the month so it doesn't hit the credit card bill as soon

Also something was bothering me so I've had a closer look and found it. In both pics it looks like the second hand of the watch on the hybrid strap has a black tip while the one on a bracelet doesn't. Is it a trick of the light?
Ooh, good spot. It's a mistake, back from when we were getting early renders from CW and trying different hand finishes. The second hand is all silver.

Actually looked at a gun metal PVD, but it put the price up significantly, and if I remember rightly couldn't be done on a small run. The idea was to keep this as relatively affordable and accessible as possible.

While I like the effect of the black tip it starting around 1/4 down the baton looks off - good choice

Important update in case anyone has been sitting on the fence

UPDATE: REGISTRATION NOW CLOSES 19 JULY AT 9PM UK TIME.
Registrations have peaked at 37, potentially short of the minimum order quantity, but Christopher Ward has kindly agreed to keep the same price for a run of 40. For that reason, all those who registered have been contacted, ready to pass the order to CW.
If you want one and you've not already registered, it's important to do the following:
• Comment that you'd like one.
• Email CWEfacebookgroup@gmail.com with your full name.
You can find all the details about registration in the pinned featured articles at the top of this group, but the jist is that Christopher Ward will handle the final ordering process and take payment; at this stage we just need people to register their interest. The watch includes free personalised engraving, as well as the serial number. This really is a true limited edition, so don't miss out...
>Prices<
• Hybrid strap: £695
• Bracelet version (with engraved clasp): £800
• Bracelet AND hybrid strap: £845
PayPal Finance will be an optional payment method.
Rich.

Yes, CWE3 LE is going into production. I should have updated the group. I don’t know the exact number of the run but I understand it is no more than 50. Delivery is anticipated to be the end of this year.

If an LE can be produced with a less than 50 requirement, perhaps a Forum LE is within reach!

I hope I’m not out of order for updating this thread but thought people might be interested to know that all 50 are now sold! Due to issues with getting the dial right, production was delayed and dispatch of watches is now expected for 28/03/23.
