Friendly Knowledge Share of the CWE 2.0 LE
Re: Friendly Knowledge Share of the CWE 2.0 LE
Thanks guys! I wish we had ‘reactions’ on here so I could ‘like’ your individual comments as quoting each in turn seems so cumbersome...
But glad it’s been useful so far! Will or I will update with more info once the prototype arrives in late August or early September!

So it's been a while but the prototype has been a massive hit and we have over 120 signatories for the 30 watches available in the production run...
...I have to say it's looking pretty good to me and I'm keen to try a 40mm Trident if a little skeptical of the 20mm bracelet!
But while I'm here and Facebook is not, how about we announce the first 10 allocation winners on here instead!? What do you think @Will_75 - nothing better to do this evening!

^^^ That looks awesome! I’ve been keeping up with it on FB (not today though- what’s up with FB?), and this is a cool watch and great outcome. Good job putting it together and getting something unique ad special put out there. I just wish I had the funds at the moment.

Re: Friendly Knowledge Share of the CWE 2.0 LE
And just to round things off (as I see a couple of pics in the wild have started to escape into the Forum) I'm very happy to announce that CWEC#1 arrived today and I'm really happy with the result (even if it will probably appear sideways below!):
It came on the bracelet, plus I have the Tide (although it rubs the case so I'm a bit wary) but I put it on the original thick blue hybrid for today.
First impressions are I love the design but it feels really small to me. I like 43mm Mk1/2 and 42mm Mk3 Tridents, while I reserve 40mm for dress watches like the C1 Grand Malvern.
I had to get my wife's 38mm C60 Bronze out just to be sure it was smaller! Reminds me of a Seamaster I owned briefly but returned due to size...
...but it was never designed for me! It was always designed to the most popular votes on the CWE, which were 40mm, blue bezel, white dial and we just improvised from there on in.
The bicolour lume is excellent but you've seen that already, so that's about all for this thread! I'm still a little torn about removing the logo from 9 o'clock, but we wanted to be as unique as possible so still the right choice!

^ How we have personal preferences about watches.....
Everything you have mentioned as slight "negative" design points are highly positive design points for me ...
40mm is spot on for me (42mm Tide watch felt too big on my wrist)
No logo at 9o'clock is what I've been waiting for for a few years.
Lovely watch and I'd be happy to have 1.
I hope you enjoy it.

Absolutely! I’m going to give it a go for a while and see how it feels. So far really comfortable as it’s so light and as an object it’s beautifully proportioned... plus my wife says she’s going to try it on later.Mikkei4 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 08, 2022 6:41 pm ^ How we have personal preferences about watches.....
