Mike, I had surgery in 2015 and 2017 for brain tumors, plus chemo both times. I'm hoping the rsdiation after the second time put an end to recurances. I was left with constant dizziness and strange sensations in my head, that drove me to understand how people can have dark thoughts. It took 3 years time and the right combination of meds to get to a maneagable place. Nerves and the brain are complex and need time to recover.

I hope after some well deserved rest, you will feel like you are making progress in the right direction.

Best,

Leon

Hi all, I wasnt going to reply for a couple of weeks but I'm lonely and have nobody to share anything with. Hey so where better to do that but on a watch forum!

The first is to send my prayers and a best wishes to Leon, I hope you are OK at the moment and getting the care you need m8.

I'm out of my tree at the moment. I didn't realise how bad this could be. I'm on the max concoction of painkillers they prescribed and without them I don't how I would cope,.

I've done 5 lengths walking to the end of my small garden and back twice a day. I'm still getting the impingement pain everytime I put my left forward when walking.

I still can't believe it's a week tomorrow I had the operation. I've been on massive pain now for at least 18 months and I've forgotten what it's like to be pain free. Omg in 2 weeks when things settle down I may either be gutted or on the other hand be getting toward being pain free!

Sorry for the rambling I just posted to download the rubbish in my mind :-). I'm actually feeling positive and I really hope if the leg impingement pain goes then I can't wait for one of you lovely people to get my watch that hasn't left my wrist apart from during the surgery :')

Good to hear from you Mike and glad you're making progress.

I hadn't realised you would be out of hospital so soon and hope & trust you are getting suitable care and support at home.

Thoughts and prayers with you too.

Hi Mike, good to hear that you are up and about and home, that sounds very positive despite the current pain... incremental steps (excuse the pun) and improvements. Wishing you the very best.

I'm sorry I'm like a bad rash that won't go away I just thought I'd give an update for those that maybe interested. I've been pretty bad last couple of days and am back on my full dose of painkillers.

I'm not writing this as a negative thread as I am trying to stay positive and I know there is a lot of healing going on. Im full of painkillers so maybe feeling a bit too positive but just walked a few lengths of my small garden and it was feeling the best yet. Its a bit sore now that I'm sat down but I'm hoping it continues to improve. My whole back and legs are burning now so I better not over do things.

I haven't forgotten the watch giveaway BTW and I will give it away if the surgery is the success I wanted :-) so please be patient with me as im going through a rollercoaster ride at the moment. I took it off today for the first time as my other watches are begging for wrist time. I thought it would be a good idea to build my arm strength up so am wearing my C60 mk2 gmt diver, what a solid watch that is!

OK im babbling its the drugs I swear. Thanks all for your kindness and thanks to my new friend on these forums who has really helped my mental state :-)

Take care all and enjoy your weekends

Well done Mike, keep that positivity as you/your body can feel there's a small improvement. It shoukd keep building from here on, be patient and keep doing what you need to. Definitely not like a bad rash, fellow forumite who has the support of his fellow watch enthusiasts... we ALL need some support at some point. All the best!

Hi Mike. Good to hear from you. I am not sure if you are pushing yourself harder than the doctors suggested. It sounds like you are seeing some improvement, so stick to the plan, and hopefully you will keep making progress. How long do you have to go before you get a follow up with your surgeons, can I ask. I am sure that will give you some much needed feedback.

All the best.
