I have always understood rankings on Forums to be 'just a bit of fun'.

You might say that someone with thousands of posts needs to get out more :D

How many posts do I have? What rank am i? Who cares? I'm here because I enjoy the craic with fellow forum members and gassing about watches.

I've learned a lot and hopefully this enables me to pass a little bit on to the next guy. However, I would hate for anyone to see my rank and make the assumption that I actually know something

I'm currently regarded as an Expert and shortly to become a Senior Expert. That can't be right; when I see some of the contributions here I feel a true ignoramus. I think recognition of Expert should come at 500 and the rest be proportionate to that.

I'm noob here, but my opinion is: all that "ranking" is just a trash :), not much not less. Who cares 100500 posts or 500? I think, 500 is enough to say that man IS forum addicted :) All other counts - just "blinky badge" to show up. Call it Expert or Super_Watch_Collector or The_GOD - thats no difference for me. And for you, yup? :)
Watch out :)

What is this forum about?
Yes, it's all predominantly about Christopher Ward watches, news, views, pictures and owner questions.

IMHO as a "newbie" if I ask a question and it can be answered by a "10 poster" or a "1000 poster" it makes no difference to me.
Just because someone has posted many hundreds/thousands of times and appears to show a great interest in the forum (no bad thing at all) then well done but in all honesty is anyone really bothered about being known a God/Supremo/Master...the list could go on.

It's just a bit of fun.

I can't say I give it any thought at all.

I agree. When I joined the forum I never imagined I would be up there on page one. It just sort of happens, and you don't think about it. Just a bit of fun.

I think I share the views of Scooter and AVO.

It's an irrelevance, albeit a fun one, if you find that kind of thing fun!

Another vote for the last three comments, I pay little or no attention to it!
