Forum Limited Edition 2013

Post by robinbarke »

I have No 40/100 and I have worn it nearly every day for the past 7 years! It has been to Australia and New Zealand 4 times and South Africa 3 times and has never let me down. Its great feature is that it clearly shows the time! Accuracy, without any maintenance is still within 5 secs/day. Anyone else with a similar experience?

That's a fantastic recommendation for the watch.

Good to see that you're still around Robin.

Thanks Scooter. Hope you are well. 80 next month, something should be done about it!

Welcome back to the forum, this is what the 2013 FLE looks like for those newer members.

As a 'relative' newcomer, I purchased a FLE 2013 from a fellow forumite. Love it and its a keeper; legible, classy and interesting in an understated way and as per yours Robin, if I wear it for a few days consecutively its super accurate.
The shiny bezel is a little bit of a scratch magnet though.
Mine gets more wrist time than a lot of my other watches..

Nice to see you back here Robin.

I did love my 2013 FLE but the polished bezel annoyed me, I didn't think it worked with the watch.
If I had held onto it I'd have brushed the bezel which would have probably transformed the watch.

That's a coincidence Ferg, mine was scratched so have lightly brushed it myself and like it even more now.
When I send one of my cherished watches in for service to preferred watchmaker ill stick the FLE in the box and ask him to do it properly.

Good to hear that mate ^^^
Will be great to see a photo of it fully brushed eventually.

We should do a 2020 Forum Limited Edition - It should include a meteorite dial (since I'm sure a meteorite striking the earth is next in line for this nutty year) and use a lot of red, orange, yellow to mimic fire.
