With the Dartmouth, there’s only one choice (size-wise) at 41mm. With either of the C60s (GMT or 3 hand) we’d have to have polls to decide whether to have it in 38, 40 or 42mm.

My gut feel is that it would be wise to determine which C60 size *before* deciding on any other details (colours etc) and get a true idea of how many people who’ve voted for these two models would buy any *specific* size. The Dartmouth is simpler as it only comes in a like it or lump it 41mm case.

Without wanting to pre-empt the process, I guess it may be wise to have a runoff vote before deciding on any other details such as colours, hands (or propellers) by voting for as many models as you would personally be willing to actually purchase, from the following three current leaders:

38mm GMT
38mm Trident
40mm GMT
40mm Trident
42mm GMT
42mm Trident
41mm Dartmouth

Guess which choice is simpler... and more likely to retain its initial voting numbers.
Let me guess.....

I reckon the 41mm Dartmouth. :)

Wonder if they can do a thinner C60. Drop the WR to 300. Could be a simple adjustment if it means a thinner caseback.

It would appear that we have our 2 candidates.

Based on this poll we have selected the C60 Trident Pro 600 Mk III and the C65 Dartmouth Series 1.

No we need to select which size C60.

The poll for size selection is here.

I will also set up a topic for design submissions/discussions for these models.

I must say I'm still disappointed. It seems to me that both the C60 and the Dartmouth are both fully evolved designs. The Dartmouth, to my eyes at least, doesn't differ that much from the C65 Diver from which it is derived. Both the C60 and the Dartmouth only seem to lend themselves to changes in colour, face or bezel. The Sandhurst or Cranwell seem more a blank canvas on which a bit of creativity can be applied. But I await to be amazed.

It's not surprising that a dive watch will be the most popular but given there are already a plethora of C60s it's not exactly inspiring.

The blue case could still rescue it. We can hope.

I'm looking forward to seeing the design submissions but I can't help thinking that the Dartmouth is already in it's best colour combination and that I don't need (or want) a standard C60 Trident as I already have an (IMO) unbeatable previous logo MK2 black/black and that I would have been more interested in the C60 GMT that lost out going through by just 3 votes.

Thanks again to Kip for giving up his time organising this and I hope there is still sufficient interest around to repay his work.

But the C60 300 was on the selection list and achieved minimal votes so why would this now be considered?

Maybe minimal votes because it is a quartz not mechanical watch.

Maybe people would think that a 300m WR mechanical with display back is sufficiently different to a 600m WR mechanical with solid case back?

Fair point Neil.
From what I can see the auto movement is the same in the C60 600 case and the thinner C65 case. The existing C60 300 case is very slightly thinner than the C65 so maybe the auto movement would still be able to fit into it.

That was the intention, to have all of the features of a C60 600 without the thickness. CW's traditional C60 300 wouldn't be a consideration as it's still in the previous generation.
