That central stainless steel Hombre stands out like a rose between 14 thorns.

The Ombre is nice enough, though given there's already a bronze and silver dialled version, I don't think it's too much of a stretch to think a blue one may be on the cards in the future in the standard line.

^^^ that blue Ombre does look good.

Have other colour combos been tried?

Still hoping for a yellow dial variant, at least to be visualised.

:)

That looks great!

All of the Dark Blue C60's with the blue strap look brilliant and would definitely tempt me

A kind of updated, more colourful, version of my Kingfisher? Nice to have a non-blue option in the mix too!

I will take the blame for causing any confusion or misinformation, or lack of, regarding this potential FLE.

This all started with my original post here. Based on those submissions the guidelines were set as follows...

We can get an applied device i.e. the Twin Flags, at 12 but there will be NO Logo changes or moves; so please don't ask.
We can alter the dial print (not the logo).
We can determine the case back engraving.

As we now are aware, this first round did not fly because not enough were interested in the then favored model. We started over with a model vote that selected the C65 Dartmouth Series 1 and the C60 Trident Pro 600 Mk III (40mm).

In trying to created something special, potentially using the original suggestions for the C60, and now, the Dartmouth I think we have become confused as to what we can and cannot do.

I do believe that the FLE should be something special, but the "special" determination is open for interpretation by each of us. Changes to the base models can be subtle or major. The problems arise when costs become involved. The trick is to create a model that is different and unlikely to be built by CW or something subtle that is special to us.

By not doing this as a small group, such as the Admin Team, or a special committee, we have found it is best to keep changes to the base models subtle in order to minimize cost.

I have most likely confused things further by making a comment regarding "eligible" designs. Let me try to clear this up. what I meant was that since A C60 was voted in we are really wide open, but it would be nice if we are able to incorporate some of the features from my original post, although this is not required.

The Dartmouth has seemed to cause the most controversy. My view is that by trying to make this a GMT, despite being a nice design, we are looking at a different model altogether and certainly not what was voted on. I have previously addressed the date window issue so won't do that again.

I actually see no reason that we cannot change the hands and/or bezel if they are stock to other models. Theoretically, there should be no additional costs unless there is a color change to something that is not currently available.

Any changes we make have the potential to add cost to the final choice such as bronze/gold outlined markers for example. When we get things narrowed down I will put forth the designs to CW for a final estimate and time frame.

I will put together a final a final summary after Sunday and we can vote for potentials. My thinking on the voting is to put forth all designs and those that receive 25 or more will move to the next round of tweaking etc. I am open for suggestions.

I also want to remind everyone that we will shut off design submissions on Sunday so we can move forward.

I apologize for any confusion and also wish to again thank those that have submitted ideas and to those that have contributed to the Photoshop process.

Could we have the blue Hombre dial on the Dartmouth?

Christopher Ward logo at 12

Indented or applied twin flags at 6 (not sure if it has to be one or the other on the Hombre)

Keep hour and minute markers as they are on the standard model?

IF THE HOMBRE DIAL CAN ONLY BE USED ON A TRIDENT PLEASE ACCEPT MY APOLOGIES FOR THIS SUGGESTION

I don’t think it’s been mentioned whether it’s possible or not so, although not something that interests me one bit, a valid suggestion in my opinion.

If you are referring to the "Ombre" color scheme, I think it is a possibility. If you are referring to taking a C60 Ombre dial (markers and all) I would say no.

Unfortunately, the approval for the PVD housing Midnightblue is not very large.
But maybe that will change yet.
