Magnus wrote: Fri Oct 11, 2019 8:41 am Can I revise my design idea to:
Datmouth
dark grey/charcoal face and bezel
applied Christopher Ward logo at 12 (or just printed if applied causes difficulties with price). Can this be in black? White is fine if not.
Black second hand.
white lume
Now don't shoot me here (because I think this still fits in with the design parameters ie not moving logo from original design - this is just an addition) ..... applied flag logo at 6 in black.
I haven't yet had time to do the twin flags, as they take more work as I have to remove the text at 6 first, but here is my effort at this spec - one with black logo and one with white logo. It is hard to make a black logo stand out on a charcoal dial. It would be good to get confirmation that this is on the right tracks before I progress with the twin flags. Thanks.

Dartmouth looks great, but if we are going for a FLE i want it to look some special that will not/could become a standard CW watch. i think the blue trident looks great with the yellow. that would get my vote, if there was no bronze offerings.

The blue with black bezel insert and yellow markers (not bothered if the 20 is in yellow or white to be honest) is getting pretty close to what I would part with some cash on. I’m not totally sold on the device print dial though and think we need to see options with plain and/or plain smoked. This would also give an option of applying twin flags at 12.

Here's another Dartmouth variation I've been working on, with a light blue sunburst dial (hopefully looking a little more metallic in real life):

Nicer and brighter but I just don’t take to the Dartmouth. I find the dial far too dominated by those huge minute markers.

I'm not sure I can do a plain smoked dial as I haven't really got the base images to make something from, e.g. the movement picture that you'd see behind with the date wheel etc. I only have that movement picture with the smoked dial with the twin-flag device print in front of it.

However, I can probably do a mock-up with a plain opaque dial, so will work on that next.

Thanks  I thought it may be a little difficult to do so appreciate your efforts.

I’m with you there Steve. Plus, I really do think that the blue PVD gives that ‘something different’ look that an FLE deserves. The ‘Swedish Blue’ could have mileage in it hopefully.

That's an interesting take. Certainly moreso than another c60 variant.

Here are the two blue C60 options with yellow accents with a solid blue dial. Sorry that the minute track is a little darker, but that made it a lot easier and quicker for me!

Personally, for me, it loses some of its "specialness" with a solid dial, so I still prefer the smoked/transparent dial.

^^^Me too. I just love the dial with the twin flags!

But that is nice, especially the blue bezel version.

Is this the plain smoked transparent dial you were looking for?

I like that less than the solid dial, because you can see the less interesting side of the movement.
