jimbo wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 6:57 pm I love my Bronze limited edition divers, I love that it changes colour after a clean, I don't even mind cleaning it, a cup of tea whilst dunking it in lemon juice and baking soda with my wife's tooth brush (for gawds sake don't tell her!) makes it a watch that changes for the price of one. I have bought further straps for it which again change it for whatever the occasion.
Not so keen on the blue face myself, as mine has a "distressed" brown one. But it's great we are all different.
Enjoy the purchase of whatever you decide on :)
I do like the idea of being able to clean it and start fresh all over again.

I'm in the same boat. I'm leaning towards a 39mm Sealander GMT White with Bader bracelet.

This would be my suggestion for a versatile, "go anywhere, do anything" choice. Great size, great thickness, looks great on a variety of straps and bracelets.

Tough choice, but a nice position to be in! Like others have said, I would go with your gut and try not to be swayed too much by others. But since you asked... :D

Personally I think the black dial C60 is a bit too run-of-the-mill, especially since you say you are looking for something a bit fun or interesting. The white dial is a little more interesting to me, but not loads. But they would both make great all rounders if you don't already have anything similar.

I thought I really liked the blue GMT from the marketing shots, but I recently saw it in the CW showroom and it didn't quite do it for me. It is a great watch, but the blue wasn't quite as I'd hoped. Maybe that 'plastic' look you mention. I could upload a photo from the showroom, but there are probably plenty in the galleries on here.

I would go for the bronze if size doesn't prohibit. I already have a bronze CW diver (not C60) and really like it. It is different and interesting but once patinated goes under the radar. I really like the worn look of bronze, but yes, after 6 years of wear without cleaning back, you definitely can't appreciate any differences in the finishing of the case!

Lastly, I would echo others' thoughts about the consort bracelet being a bit more dressy than perhaps you say you are looking for, but it still looks great.

Good Luck!

I've just noticed your original post was a month ago sorry. Did you make a purchase in the end?
I hope I didn't put down something you'd already bought! :)

Hi rose141414

Blue can easy be the one and only watch for anything.
White is a little more sporty.
If the ceramic bezel is a little shiney or plasticy for you then the Shark white Atoll is an awesome watch that is much nicer than stock pictures show

I normally try not to buy new, but with CW the used market is so limited. I guess people hold on to them.

You can usually find most of CWs offerings on eBay. It depends no how much you are willing to spend though, as some sellers are quite ambitious with their pricing.
