Re: Facebook Limited Edition
underwhelming..
£170 above the regular price for the twin flags, mix-and-match dial/bezel and a red seconds hand from the left-overs bin.
But many seem to think it is awesome so what the hell do I know..
And still can't understand why it takes 8-9 months to glue the twin flags thingie on the dial.

Re: Facebook Limited Edition
Well I guess you won't be buying one then Frank.
You're gilding the lilly by suggesting £170 more than regular. Strictly its only £70 more, but I guess you're factoring in the current £100 voucher.
Worth also remembering that the 316L limited edition series are the same £70 premium over the regular Trident Pro 600.
One final point to remember is it will be a Limited Edition of maximum 60 as CWL only have that number of red seconds hands.

Re: Facebook Limited Edition
No I won't be buying one. And yes, £170 more than a regular C60 after voucher code.
Can't they make more red seconds hands? Aren't they just regular hands painted red? Or is that also a very complicated manufacturing process that takes many months to complete? You can paint a lot of hands with a $5 spray paint can.
As Jeremy Clarkson would say: How hard can it be?

I've not been part of the process, but what's the reasoning behind CWE Trident?
I think the watch looks ok, but I'm not a fan on white hands/white dial for legibility reasons on any watch, not just this version.
Good luck to those that buy it and I hope all goes well.

What the hell happened? How did the 9 o clock blemish suddenly make a reappearance?

They absolutely positively do not want their word mark at 12 for the Tridents. I think we can be sure the new C60 will also have it at 9.As it transpires the logo is non negotiable and adheres to the company "Design Bible" in regards to the trident line.

Re: Facebook Limited Edition
I do seriously wonder about who makes decisions at CW.
They had a golden opportunity to conduct a market research test with absolutely no downside to them.
They have a group of customers willing to pay ABOVE rrp for a watch that won't cost them any extra to assemble as its just a parts bin "mix and match".
If it sold like hot cakes they'd know beyond doubt that the 9 o clock blemish was a mistake, if it didn't sell (pre-order) it costs them nothing because they will only assemble the amount ordered. It's staggering to me from a market research point of view but also from a customer view. How can they claim to provide a "customisation" service, charge a substantial premium and then dictate the design?

Re: Facebook Limited Edition
Notwithstanding the blemish at 9, the facebook group have come up with a great colour combination which I like an awful lot.
Was there any news on the possibility of a 38mm version?

Re: Facebook Limited Edition
The final design is a very cool merging of some great qualities in the CW wheelhouse. I didn't think I'd buy a 43mm Trident any time soon. I'll buy this. A very balanced dial and a great color combo.

Re: Facebook Limited Edition
I think they insisted on the name at 9 because removing it would mean changing the lumed hour marker for a regular sized one.
This would be a lot more customisation than just special print and apply the flag logo.
Personally, I'd pay 70 quid extra to move the name from 9 to 12 on any CW if there was an option.
It's funny that they ignore the request of their most loyal fans not to have the logo at 9. What kind of business insists they are right and their customers are wrong?
They won't even give in on 60 watches?
I'm still gutted that I can't buy any more new CWs because of the bizarre 9 o'clock logo placement.
Still, it's good for my wallet.
