Extending the Lumiere range.... in my dreams

Post by tikkathree »

Today I've been enjoying my blue C60 Lumiere, yesterday I was enjoying my C60 Atoll 300 in Shark White and I keep envisaging the dial colour of the Shark white behind the Lumiere bezel and dial furniture. I think that would be a winner.

So what other colours might work in the Lumiere range with the same gradient dial shading and the same dial furniture?

I'm seeing something like Porsche's viper green which is a bright pea green colour.

Anything else? Well there's the purple BC colour and/or the associated vacona leather strap colour which is really not a bright purple.

Any other ideas?

I've not thought on the Lumiere with regards to future editions.

My mind wondered to the features and dial of the twelve and how it would look incredible in a rectangular/ square case incorporating the design elements from said range.
That dial pattern and texture is begging for a straight lined, symmetrical case.
With the additional colours of a BRG, burgundy and an air force blue to start. Not asking much. Lol 😂.

I think they call that the Patek Cubitus.

That's a fair interpretation. In my mind envisioned a more reflective dial and the ability to have a leather strap, something like a Santos.
Oh, and a far more reasonable price.😜

They did that too with the Platinum version (except with a more expensive price).

I've been thinking a lot about the Lumiere. I'd really like it with a 12hr bezel instead of a 60min dive bezel.

As for colours, I'd like to see a crimson or a scarlet red, that'd be right up my street.

Oh you chaps.... I admire your ability to hold a CW and look so high  I hadn't thought of taking parts of the Lumiere and transplanting them elsewhere.

I'd like to see a yellow version with gloss black hands in a DLC case, preferably with a date window and power reserve gauge.

Technically we were discussing the Twelve...

Why put a 12 hour bezel on a Diver?

It would depend whether you want it to be a true diver, or something with other practicalities.

I had a Damasko with a 12 hour bezel once. I could still use it to time things by using the arrow at 12 to mark the start of the time period. However I could also use the bezel to measure a second time zone by setting it accordingly.

If you don’t want your diver to be just a diver, then this can add another use.

My dream luminaire would be to take the dial furniture and apply them to the rear of the dial. Then in the empty space you could add the markers from the Pro 300.

I’m liking the bold colour suggestions though.

Can you color the Globolight XP©, either in ‘not lit up’ or ‘lit up’ form? If so, how about a rainbow Lumière? With the Atoll Shark White dial.

Another vote for claret dial as well.
