I did exactly the same as you DJT. I ended up buying the COSC version. I believe there is a none COSC version on eBay at the minute.

I am quite smitten by the dbr1 cosc, would hate to wait around for a sale and they all sell out in the mean time. Do they happen often?
Quite like the c40 and c700 too, as I really want an automatic watch. I guess waiting for a sale for them would be. Ok if they are not as small runs?

The main sales happen in January and July where they might discount models that they are getting rid off to make way for new models. Infrequent 10%/15% sales happen at random but generally see a few in the year.

Just received my Grand Rapide with Steel bracelet in the mail. The watch looks FABULOUS!
I really like the look of the red face with the steel bracelet.
Just managed to squeak under the midnite deadline on February 29.

Now the proud owner of 3 Christopher Ward watches.
Also bought 2 as gifts....one for my son and another for a business partner.
