If that was a prototype that didn’t make the cut, you can always hope that it might lead to something even better. Or, if enough people on the forum felt strongly about it they could always lobby the company to go ahead and produce it anyway. There is plenty of evidence that they do listen to the forum and the other social media groups.
I can imagine the next chat with the team will have a few Q's enquiring why it didn't make the cut!

Can we call those lightsabre hands?

Maybe a campaign to have it as a FLE 2022 could work? I’d buy one that’s for sure, it’s stunning.

Count me in to that too - I thought it was stunning when I saw it on CW website and Guys pics have reinforced that thought even more. The only CW for a long time that I’d buy - one of the best they’ve ever produced in my opinion. I honestly could never see myself buying a current range CW watch but the Powerglow has changed that. Make some more pleeeease!

Posted in the CWL of the day before so might as well stick some pics here also!

Finally got the silver saucer out into the sunshine to play with the light. Seriously cool vibe off this one especially on the bracelet. I can understand why someone sent it back at full price perhaps, but Nearly New this is a total bargain and won’t be going anywhere.

Strangely for a prototype the serial number on this is AAF-397 and not the usual AAA-000 or similar. Wonder if the number has any significance? Would be really interesting to anyone in the American Air Force 397th Bombardment Squadron!

Haha! I spent a while trying to read the yellow below and completely ignored the auto  It is a prototype so the dial could be wrong? :escape:

Really like that reubicon, it looks a really interesting grey sliver white dial in the light. 👍

Full auto, hence the blob markers and date. Seems just as slim as the hand-wound though and *so* comfortable. LOVE IT! 8)

Yep, I would call it a moonwatch if that wouldn’t trigger a whole load of ‘mega-fan hate!

At first I thought it reminded me of the watch in Moonraker but it turns out it was The Living Daylights. Still something very 70s ‘future space exploration’ about it.

Best shots I've seen of that proto. Seeing the silver tip on the second hand makes a difference as the black just makes the second hand look a bit short and stubby

Finally, a couple more caseback shots for good measure.

What a fantastic prototype Guy!

One thing as I’ve been pondering since we discussed how slowly the C60 Apexes build up power reserve: is this one the same or more like the C1 GM PR or equivalents?
Its like the C1 GM PR or equivalents, Reuben. In my case that's the C60 Abyss SH21.

My Powerglow arrived ticking away merrily, set to the correct date/time and with c. 3.5 - 4 days Power Reserve.

Wearing it for only a few hours, brought this up to a full 5 days; whereas, as we have discussed previously, my C60 Apex will just about manage to charge with one day's PR during one day's wear.

It seems to me that the key lies with the PR dial. On the 'regular' models the PR dial uses an arc of about 270 - 300 degrees, whereas on the Apex models its only 180 degrees with hand winding feeling stiffer, even on the C7 Apex vs, say, my C8 M2.04 LE.

Only repeating what others have said Guy, simply stunning! Im undecided on saphire dials, Im also on a mission for simple dials, but then there's this, quite a busy dial and semi sapphire but its so well executed, very attractive and for me super interesting... congratulations and Im sure it fits nicely alongside the Apex's 👍

The January sale was posted to social media; the July preview was to the Christopher Ward customer email list. This prototype sale was posted only to the Forum, In part because there were so few prototypes to offer. It seems the company is trying different methods to reach the customer and fan bases across diverse platforms.
