These prototypes all look good folks, but my favourite is the Powerglow, great that you got one of only 3 that were made Guy. I'm sure a lot of us are jealous!

At some point, Guy, can we get a shot of the Powerglow along side your two Apex?

^^^^ At some point yes, Andrew.

There are similarities to the Apexes, but also Abyss SH21 and Worldglow / Moonglow.

Is that a red indicator under the 6 of the date ring of the Powerglow? Can see it in the first pic but in the second where it should be more visible it's gone, along with the silver ring it sits in - there's some funny reflection and/or refraction going on somewhere

The huge window and cutaway rotor is amazing - you can see everything!

Gareth wrote: Fri Aug 06, 2021 5:11 pm So after much deliberation, I decided to take the plunge on this beauty. Luckily I too had kept the prototype page open since the sale last week and this one kept calling me!

I was a bit concerned that my luck with NN watches had run out, as the last two have gone back with what I felt were a level of 'damage' I couldn't live with (a SC with a nasty bezel scratch and a C60 with a mark on the dial went back from the July sale).

So I was very happy that the only mark on this seems to be a small scratch on the caseback. The lack of the COSC paperwork is offset by the novelty of it being a prototype (numbered 000/150). It's a keeper!

All in all very happy, and big thanks to the admin that I was able to participate in spite of my lowly post count Image.
Lovely watch… I have the same and it’s amazing… enjoy

This is absolutely stunning… nice one

What a shame (for us  ) that this wasn’t put into production.

I never saw that in the sale…I guess you’re the quickest on the draw around these parts? Cracking looking watch however, congrats.

Absolutely stunning Guy!! Hope you enjoy wearing it and in the best of health.
Thank you Glenn, but I feel we are members of a Mutual Admiration Society as your Orange Sapphire is pretty far out there too.

I'm sure you'll enjoy that as well. :D :D

Yes, very much in the favourite category and it may be 1 of 3, but I've no idea who picked up the other two (as far as we saw they did sell) as there has not been a peep from whomever bought them.

Thank you indeed KCM. I have to admit to being rather chuffed at picking it up. :) :)

Yes; the red indicator is the date indicator.

It is not visible in the second photo simply because it, and the white, lumed ring are recessed below the main level of the dial and not visible due to the shallow angle at which I took the photo.

I'm certainly amazed at the level of interest in this piece, both here and on the CWE Group. :-k :-k

I concur; absolutely top notch, and then some. Image Image

It didn't appear until the Sale had been running for around an hour and then I think I simply got lucky by doing a page refresh at the perfect time.

Having seen it, I knew that it was a must buy (almost) regardless of the price.

Finally, a couple more caseback shots for good measure.

Well done on picking this up Guy. Don't think I can ever get bored of looking at the SH21 movement. I imagine the true cost of producing the three Powerglow prototypes must have been much higher than the sale price.

It feels like this is a 'greatest hits' watch of all the design elements that CW are doing so well at the moment.

What a fantastic prototype Guy! I could have had one of these but was tricked into thinking it was in general release via the main website and by the time clarity was restored it was gone!

Actually worked out well as it was five times my budget for the day! But slightly frustrating the other two buyers aren’t making themselves known... makes me think they were outside the Forum? :(

As for the design, it’s wonderful: obviously a couple of subtleties one might change for a true production model; but in that some of the interest might be lost.

One thing as I’ve been pondering since we discussed how slowly the C60 Apexes build up power reserve: is this one the same or more like the C1 GM PR or equivalents?
C40 SH; C60 Mk1.5 OB GMT; C60 Mk2 Green GMT; C9 WT; C11 Extreme; C65 Classic Gold; C1000 CE; C9 MP; C7 Hornet; C60 316L Black; C1 GM PR; C60 Mk2.5 Bronze GMT; C8 P2725; C60 Apex; C60 Elite GMT; C65 Auto PT; C60 Mk3 Black PT; C60 Mk3 Bronze Ombré; CWEC....

If that was a prototype that didn’t make the cut, you can always hope that it might lead to something even better. Or, if enough people on the forum felt strongly about it they could always lobby the company to go ahead and produce it anyway. There is plenty of evidence that they do listen to the forum and the other social media groups.
