Post by Mr Rick »

I see some of the new models now offer 'engraving included'. Anyone know what that's all about??

I also noticed a lot of the new watches are starting to include a £10 charge for resizing, even if it's a non-bracelet.

eg C60 on leather: http://www.christopherward.co.uk/men/sp ... i-skk.html
new C60 on leather: http://www.christopherward.co.uk/men/sp ... -skvk.html

£10 to punch a couple of holes?
The difference is a bracelet HAS to be resized to fit the customer (so I can understand the cost), whereas a leather/rubber strap should fit all users as standard and if they don't, they should be adjusted for free in my opinion.

The last few days I have been drooling over STOWA watches (yes, I know, its sad  )

On their automatic movements they will engrave the rotor for 49Eur. You can have initials or one or two lines of text. Probably not worth personalising a watch if its one you are going to "flip", but if its a keeper or for a special anniversary (or person) then worth considering.
