Diver

Post by jaydog »

Hi i am new to the forum, Was just wondering if there was any truth to the romour that the new pro diver will only be available in titainium????? If so (with respect) does anyone else feel this is the wrong decision. I believe that a good Diver watch should have some weight behind it I would be interested in anyone elses views.

I agree. I too would prefer stainless steel.

Hey guys, I swear, I am not jaydog. I did not create another user account just so I could discuss this with myself and make Chris think, hey, everyone wants it in stainless steel so I had better make it in stainless steel!

I see no advantage to SS. As an avid hunter/fisher I know the value of light weight equipment/materials. I am always reviewing gear and such for personal carry in the field. Sometimes things get passed on simply because of a few ounces. I'm sure if there were any structural issues with titanium Chris wouldn't use it.

As a diver, I'm sure Chris is making the best tool he can.

I think we should discuss the matter in this thread, not to get into disorder:

I have been looking forward to the arrival of a CW diver for a while. I even wrote to Chris and expressed my delight. I myself being a keen diver would prefer a stainless steel version as would most of my diving pals.

I was/am planning on making the new diver my first CW watch but sadly that wont be happening if it is only available in titanium. They scratch and look cheap after a short while.

I like to feel that i am wearing something of quality and the weight of the stainless steel watch gives me that feeling. Come on Mr Ward, Stainless steel is the only way to go. You know it makes sense!!!

I'll go allong with that! :D

That was definitely not rude, it was only a friendly hint. You have my apologies.

Anymore you post twice the same content in two different topics. That makes it IMHO not easy to reply, because I do not know in which topic I should give you the answer.

So have we had any feedback from Chris regarding our concerns for the new diver, And is the general consencus, people would rather SS as opposed to Titanium?

Hi Jason, the diver is in pre-production phase, you will probably have seen the latest pictures. This usually means that the watch can be ordered within a few weeks...
