Morning Sally and welcome to the forum
I have both mki and mkii C60's both 42mm and a Stienhart even thou they are all 42mm IMO they all wear slightly different due to the thickness of the bazel...Stienhart wears the smallest then the mki followed by the mkii

Go for a C60 38 mm I don't think you will be disappointed
But it is all about personnel opinion

I agree that the steinhart 42mm wear much smaller than the c60 trident mk2. I have the ocean ti 500 and ovm and they both look noticeably smaller on my wrist which is about 8.2inches. You can always return the watches if they dont look right but bear in mind the bracelet will be incorrectly sized and cannot be altered or this will void the return policy (at least for Steinhart).

I'd recommend the Ocean 500 Ti as its a great looker and keeps good time.

+1. And welcome to the forum. :-) It does indeed wear smaller as the bezel is wider that gives an optical illusion the case is narrower, especially as the amount of visible crystal is reduced. Superb value for money, although the C60 may be visually more appealing, albeit more expensive. Spoilt for choice really :-)

They all look nice. It looks like you have one of each to show different time zones :-)

SallyB wrote:Thank you for all that information and advice. I have quite flat wrists I guess so the C60 or Steinhart should be ok for me so long as it doesn't look like a big lump of rock haha. My dad has a Rolex and he mentioned something about flat lugs and that looked great on me, shame I had to give it back to him! I will probably end up trying a smaller C60 after I decide which colour to choose! Decisions decisions! :-)
Just be aware that your father's Rolex may be 40mm. If so, then yes, I can imagine it fitted well and the straight lugs won't be an issue. I've seen lots of women wear 40mm Rolexes just fine.

just 1 or 2 mm increase in diameter makes a lot of difference.

Ultimately you won't know until you try the watches for real.

It's just so frustrating I can't just walk in to a store and try a few on without having to buy then return, which I still feel uncomfortable about doing. I think I'll do just that with other brands to get an idea how certain sizes feel and look on my wrist and then order a Christopher Ward after. Thanks again to all. Some very helpful people here :-)

My other half has two divers - a 39mm hydroconquest and a faux Orient, faux in that it's a fixed bezel.

Sally, another (more expensive) option for a small diver is the Omega Seamaster mid size. At 36mm it is one of the smallest divers out there. If you want to get an idea of how a 38mm C60 might wear, try out a 39mm longines hydroconquest if you can find a dealer. similar case size and thickness. The CW is a little thicker i think, and the lugs curve more, so the C60 would hug the wrist a little better.

Haha, I'd love an Omega but probably can't stretch to that tbh. I shall check out the Longines though, thanks. Quite tempted by a green or purple face now, so much choice it's a bit head spinny and that's just Christopher Ward! :problem:

awesome, a lady wot likes watches!

I can't wait until my daughter matures into a girl that likes watches so I can maybe go shopping for once where I will be interested.

i see you live in Warwickshire, so not too far from CW HQ, so maybe you could take a trip down there, try on a couple, get it measured up for your wrist at the same time, and still enjoy the 60/60 choice on keeping it?

( for me the CW spanks the Steinthingy)

Bremont do offer the smaller case Solo (37mm) which is very popular with the ladies. Whilst not a diver in the true sense of the word, it is a lovely watch.

My wife has the 'full-fat' 42mm C60:

She also has the smaller 38mm C60 in blue, I'll take a pic and post this later.

My wife has been wearing this 42mm W6 pink for almost 5 years now. She has slim wrists & loves it. i will add a wrist shot shortly.

145mm or 14.5cm or 5.708661 inches.
