Diamond Mens Watches

Post by fliptron »

Hey peeps, i was thinking that a Diamond Mens watch would be fantastic!

Something like an extra large version of the C4SKS or the C4SSS with diamond around the outside???? I would definately buy one if they were made? What do you guys think?

Not my cuppa either.

But there are some nice men's diamond watches on the market. CWL don't have any mens' ones in the previews of his new models but there are several for women, not that I'd imagine that would be of any help.
The CW Collection: Now well used C6IPSI (#2)
C4IP4 (#1331)
C6 Forum LE (#64) -Sold to Tikkathree
C6SWS (#761)
Non-CW: A Breitling, 3x Omega, 1xMido, that now (13y) more ancient Raymond Weil and a Dead Seiko I can't part with (32yrs+)

In an E-mail I received from CWL (unfortunately deleted) Chris was commenting on Basel and how the diamonds in mens watches were showing up a lot, and that he was looking for feedback of what his customers thought. This seems as goos a place as any.

Althought I am not into major bling. I do think a few tastefully applied ones can enhance some watches. Example: C13 with a diamond at 12,3,6 9, and on the crown, or perhaps just at 12, or just on the crown. I am not advocating this, just saying I would, if tastefully done, find it very acceptable and certainly different for CWL.

Generally, it's not my thing because many of today's 'Balla' examples are pretty tasteless. I have, however, seen some really nice custom work that I wouldn't be embarrassed to wear.

Not being a woman, I can’t say diamonds are my best friend. I prefer sapphire and I’ve got that on my watch already. I’d rather put my money towards a very finely built watch with an embellished mechanical movement rather than spend it on the diamonds. Ruby’s, studded around the hour detents, might be nice though. It’s my birth stone!

Regarding diamonds on men's watches I would say that the slavish followers of style might go for them, but like many such fashions they might suddenly become embarrassing almost overnight. Fashions seem to go incrementally, so that 'bling' gradually becomes more extreme until watches are like Elton's glasses, and then bang another 'look' suddenly supplants it. The more 'moderate' styles don't get caught by this.

Perhaps the best designs of watches should be timeless.

Watch is the only mens jewelery. Stainless steal is masculin.

The only bling I'll ever wear is my tungsten carbide wedding ring. I reckon I'll leave diamond watches to Snoop, Pharrell and co.

I've found the 'Ultimate' Diamond Watch. I'm sure that CWL could produce one of these for the more discerning members among the forum faithfull.

Or perhaps this could become the Forum LE2??

Its a snip at US$350 when its MRSP was originally US$950. Sure Chris could beat those prices.

Oops, I forgot to add the three 0's to the end of the price
