Deep Dive into CWArchive Contest Winner

Post by Kip »

First of all, The Admin Team would like to say Thank You to all those that participated in the “Deep Dive into CWArchive Contest”.

Our intention was to create a learning experience of how to use the CWArchive as well as teach you a little about the history of Christopher Ward. We also wanted to expose you to many of the older models that you have perhaps never seen or had forgotten about. We had great fun creating this and hope you all enjoyed the process.

Our Thanks goes out to Mike France at CW for generously donating the Grand prize of the C60 Trident Mk3 watch.

The winner of the Grand Prize random draw is….

biggus_richus

Congratulations!!! :jump2:

biggus_richus has been a CWF member since June 20, 2018

Each member who answered the 10 questions of each phase correctly were assigned a number based on order of entry. Entrants to Phase 3 who also correctly answered the bonus question were assigned an extra number. Entrants had from 1-4 chances based on correct entries.

The winner was selected via a random generator.

Congratulation to the winner and absolutely no jealousy on my behalf whatsoever 🤣.

Enjoyed the quiz and I now have an encyclopaedic knowledge of the CW archives.

The random generator is a very fair way to choose IMO! Congrats, biggus_richus.

For various reasons I didn't enter this so here's a totally un-biased "Congratulations" to the Team for organising the competition, CW for giving the prize, all those that found the correct answers and the winner.

Well done all.

Well done to the worthy winner and the team responsible. One of those competitions where there are only winners as everyone entering learned something I'm sure. Again, I didn't enter either but, - any chance though of publishing the answers?

Congratulations biggus_richus! Very well done!

I'll admit to really keeping my fingers very tightly crossed as I'd really love to own a Mk3 C60, but I also really enjoyed looking through the archives for the answers. That was a fun competition - more so than most. Thanks to Kip and the moderating team for organising it!

Congrats to the winner! I enjoyed the competition but given I have pre-ordered a C60 BLUE, on the off-chance that I did win, I was not sure if my wife would believe me if two watches arrived in the post.........

Thank you all! To say that I was gobsmacked to receive the message yesterday would be understatement but it absolutely made my week!

Thanks also to the admin team for setting the competition and to Mike France for donating a frankly amazing prize. I thoroughly enjoyed my dives (and typing that I literally have just figured out the significance of the prize :datz:) into the archive searching for answers and learning more about the brand. It’s well written and researched facility and deserves wider recognition.

Although I don’t yet have a mk3 Trident, I do have a couple of mk2s and hope to be able to submit some worthy words and pictures by way of a review in due course. But in the meantime, I have a quite difficult decision to make..!
Rich.
