I would say the stitching is just slightly darker than the face markers, but not as dark as it looks in that photo. It's just the lighting or perhaps the contrast with the strap.

Nice one Fill. One of my favs.

But today I pulled out by C3 black as I had not worn it for a while. Shame on me as it is a lovely watch and would give some of my Breitlings a run for the money.

I totally agree about the C3 Ian. Just flashy enough, while still being a little dressy with the narrow bezel. I actually like it better than most of the current Breitling range, as most are just too blingy. The thin minute hand that reaches to the very edge of the dial gives it a unique look. I wonder if a C30 auto might ever be produced...
Interesting that the 'Swiss Mov't' C3's have 2 different date wheels. The dates on my C3 are straight, not angled as on yours. Since I wear my watches on the right, I prefer it that way.
