Why do you need cheering up?

Crazy photo by the way.

UK Border Force have been sitting on this for almost forty days.

Eventually they sent me a letter wanting to know whom had had the temerity to send me a watch through the post and could I please tell them what it was worth and was it really a gift?????  That's the nature of our "special relationship" with the USA.

They sent this letter from an office with no publicly available telephone number or email address.

I wrote back promptly hoping to hear something, you know, "thanks we have processed your blah blah and will today be doing blah blah." Not a flippin' dickybird.

This box turned up today.  No "resealed by Border Farce" labelling just a barely secured lid. Good job that CW watches come in a bulky box otherwise I might have been the unlucky recipient of bother all. :silent: :silent:

My wife says it's very pretty and I think she's right. Where I'm going tonight I'd usually wear a pocket watch on a double Albert and dispense with the wrist watch but tonight you know, I think this watch deserves to be celebrated.

Ferg,
Superb as this is,
Shouldn't you get one of the new green 'uns for St Patrick's Day?
And to wear whenever Ireland wins the Six Nations?

General comment:
Haven't there been some crackin' photographs on the CW and non CW threads in the last few days?
Thank you all for the entertainment.

Couldn't be bothered to adjust the date today (though I've been quite good lately!)
