I'm hoping your picture will now appear next the Welshlad's offering. I think the choice of strap for the 2011 FLE is crucial to presenting this piece at its best. After much experimentation I have reached the conclusion that the Hirsch Grand Duke with the red stitching is the best option to my eyes. The white stitching has its followers too, but the bright red strap does, I think, draw attentioin to the strap and away from the watch face. Do you agree Skimrock? To my way of thinking a strap should be highly functional and comlementary to the watch, promoting the beauty of the piece exclusively. There are some tremendous examples of this with the strap variants for the 2013 FLE.skimrok wrote:Skimrok is having a twist today on the C9 FLE with my new red quick release strap

The good thing is we are all diffrent I like playing with straps and to be fair I may be on my own but i do like it on the red strap but my favourite is on the mesh but still rock the original strap when I feel like it,robinbarke wrote:I'm hoping your picture will now appear next the Welshlad's offering. The strap is a dark blue faux alligator I found on Ebay.

Re: CWL of the day
Very nice strap for the FLE, Rick!
Wore this one today for work, where my friend noticed it and asked if it was a "real watch or quartz" lol. I showed it to him and explained how the tritium tubes worked to keep it glowing all the time and how it was meant for diving down to 50 ATM. He seemed genuinely impressed.

Re: CWL of the day
Your picture captures this piece beautifully. The watch does love some blue around it!
