Finally, one in the wild! After a suitable period of time, we need a review and lots of pics!dipidyy wrote: ↑Tue May 10, 2022 2:52 pm After DHL messing a lot up, I got this
I was hunting for vintage diver and lo and behold Aquitane was released.
I had peeled on serica and baltic. Neither really did it. Serica had weird bezel and baltic was, imo, not enough.

17/19 : Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro Chronograph "The Beast"
A friend from the USA proudly showed me the pictures of his C60 in 2021 and I was very enthusiastic. I was particularly fascinated by the two gold and yellow totalizers and the "breathing style" seconds display instead of pointers.
It probably has the nickname "The Beast" because of its dimensions. With a width of 43mm and a height of 17.4mm, that's quite a bummer. The Valjoux 7750 movement is already high, but then there is the water resistance of 600 meters with a helium valve, which makes the watch massive.
The watch was introduced in January 2016 - at that time still with the old logo. This one is from mid-2019, but with the new logo and, as far as I know, was one of the last to be built.

Re: CWL of the day
Following on from the fantastic photos of ‘The Beast’ above, today I’m wearing the C60 Elite Prototype which was one of a couple of CW’s recently purchased from Guy.
I’ve tried it on the bracelet and a few different straps and think the blue & orange hybrid is my favourite combination, the dial really lends itself to the full ‘sporty’ look.
Plenty of differences to the eventual production model, with the ‘breather’ second dial being the most obvious. But the date placement, logo placement, fatter hour hand and a different case back all make this one really stand out from the crowd. Very pleased to add it to my CW collection which now stands at (an unexpected!) 21 watches.

Re: CWL of the day
New watch day for me!
I loved the white C63 GMT when I first saw them, then was taken by the green when it came out. Still there was a niggle about the size - 39mm is smaller than my preference. When a white one appeared in the sales corner at a good price I thought it was worth a shot, and with little risk. And I’m so pleased that I did.
The size is perfect - it wears bigger than the size suggest. 41mm, which I thought I’d have preferred, might have been too big. I love the white dial and how it works with the orange elements. I’m still a sucker for green on a watch, so one day I might try and pick up a green non-GMT version.
I have a lovely brown 20mm strap on which it should look good. Still, I’m happy that I have this one in white.

I don't think there is a wrong strap to wear it on, although I quite liked wearing it on a bracelet, but the blue / orange hybrid looks good.

Enjoy it.

Re: CWL of the day
Seeing the GMT versions above, I am a little jealous, but I still really like the time only version. Idea for a rainy dog walk.

That’s one hell of a colour combo - blue shirt, green dial and Bond NATO? I must admit that it really does work for me tho

Keep well,

Until now I was not aware that there was another watch with the "breather". Was this model also produced in series?KMW wrote: ↑Wed May 11, 2022 12:43 pm Following on from the fantastic photos of ‘The Beast’ above, today I’m wearing the C60 Elite Prototype which was one of a couple of CW’s recently purchased from Guy.

In any case, it has now piqued my interest

Re: CWL of the day
It’s going to be wet and warm for my daughter’s graduation, so it’s temporarily back on the bracelet. Don’t want to ruin that new leather strap with sweat and rain! And bonus: I got the bracelet back on in about 45 seconds! I’m getting good at this.
