Today the lido
Have modified the case to improve the fit with the new style bracelet. Always found that the way the lugs came outwards stopped me getting a good fit. Alright if you have arms like arnie I suppose!
Was like this:
But now like this
Much better!

How did you do that? Might try it on mine if it's not too tricky.

Re: CWL of the day
Pretty straight forward really. If you push the bracelet downwards you can see it catches on the bottom edge of the case stopping the lugs from rotating down. take the bracelet off and wet and dry that corner off. I was left with a slightly curved reduction. Finish with a very fine grit for a nice finish although it is hidden with the bracelet back on anyway.theaub wrote:stefs wrote:Today the lido

Ah yes, I see that. Just checked mine - it does catch there. Doesn't sound too tricky - think I might have a go. Thanks.stefs wrote:Pretty straight forward really. Re: CWL of the day
Thanks for the LIDO mod info. I've been meaning to do the same thing to mine. I'll use my Edge Pro knife sharpener. That will allow me to set a consistent angle and use progressively finer stones until it matches the finish of the case. I've got some ultra fine ceramic stones that will put a mirror polish on stainless steel, althouth that's not what I would use for this!
I've been putting it off because it means taking the bracelet off the watch, which isn't much fun with those long, long pins -- too long to fit in my little pin-removal tool.
I bet you had to remove very little material. It's so close to rotating freely as is.

Yep youre spot on! just had to remove that edge and hey presto. Fortunately I did have the stuff to do the bracelet without too much hassle.hwc wrote:Thanks for the LIDO mod info.
