^^nice. I'm not a big fan of Flieger, Aviation watches normally but I've nearly bought a C1000, it was the Cockpit edition but not much different to yours.

Yes that's a nice version too. Choices eh? I went for this, as I just loved the slightly more traditional look. Oh, and the subtle blue indices.Thegreyman wrote:^^nice. Re: CWL of the day
Surprisingly it's my favourite alternative strap so far. The face is subtle in it's brightness and a few of the straps you've tried (including the green nato) stole my focus, which is a shame. I'd have said black to avoid this but the white is noticeable yet somehow gets out the way while picking out the bezel numbers - it really works for meBahnstormer_vRS wrote: What do you think of the white Hirsch Tiger?

Interesting thoughts that really make sense. Thanks.suicidal_orange wrote:Surprisingly it's my favourite alternative strap so far. I'll leave it on the white Tiger for a while now.

Never thought I would say this, but I think the white strap complements your gorgeous Protochrono just superbly!Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:Interesting thoughts that really make sense. Re: CWL of the day
Unlike the protochrono the Makaira is anything but subtle so the complimentary bright strap looks greatThegreyman wrote:Swapped my Makaira strap back to this to brighten things up for a Friday

Got a classy look to it, I think. Only snag is that I like to wear my straps on the loose side and without fitted ends the hefty Chrono flops about a bit. Solution is . . .
. . . . .just in the process of modding the fitted ends (so I can get a spring bar tool in to take it off) my Elliot Brown lime green rubber.
Be with you shortly.

Re: CWL of the day
Couldn't get the EB strap on, spring bar holes in the wrong position. Reverted to the Hirsch Tiger

Re: CWL of the day
I actually still prefer the lime green but hear what you are saying about the lack of support. If only you could find a silicon or something more robust in that colour.Bahnstormer_vRS wrote:It wasn't so much the colour of the strap that didn't work for me, but the strap itself.Thegreyman wrote: That's actually my favourite strap of yours that you've had on your fantastic Chrono...funny how we all have different tastes!
It's a rubber NATO which is rather thin and pliable; great for general comfort but not good at supporting the heft of the watch, without having to do it up too tight.
Additionally, being a NATO it increased the, already considerable, height of the watch.
What do you think of the white Hirsch Tiger?

I'm not really a fan of the white, maybe a black strap with lime green stitching. I'm sure Mr Lambert could knock something up for you.
I'm sure you'll have plenty fun working out some other strap combos for your Protochrono

I do not like Silicone straps. Has to be rubber.Thegreyman wrote: I actually still prefer the lime green but hear what you are saying about the lack of support. If only you could find a silicon or something more robust in that colour.

Meanwhile, I've got this one stood by to use.
