If you aren't using it for diving, the countdown bezels are superb for day to day timing use.

I have never really timed anything using the bezels until I got my most recent watch with a countdown bezel. Now I use it all the time.

I did not notice that the Makairas had a countdown bezel, and am delighted that they do!

You're not the only one Nick........I've had two Makaira's at one stage and never once noticed that they had a countdown bezel........Now that's a senior moment !!
