CWL of the day

Post by Nealgar »

The only point I will make is that I have never noticed the 12?? And this watch gets more great comments than almost any other watch i own!

The question is do you take the blue pill or the red pill?

Good for you to take all this in good grace.

Now I'm going for one final cheap shot and openly apologise to you. Just grit your teeth once more. Remember you can have a pop at my C80 along with everybody else, whenever you want. OK, ready. Brace yourself.

It's always the same question though. Everybody asks me:

"What's the matter with the 12".

Boom boom! :D

Taken like a man. I do like the C90 Becketts mate as first mentioned.

I never noticed the "12" issue until pointed out, and even then, I don't think it's obvious to most people unless it was specifically drawn to their attention.

Although there is something wrong with the twelve the bigger issues for me are the power reserve which goes well past 100% when fully wound and the misaligned, poorly sized date wheel and date window. The Valgranges movement and refined case are the attractive reatures of this watch but the more I look at the dial the more I think, for a precision instrument, it's a real mess. Sorry.

Nice one Neal

Taken in the spirit my post was intended.

As for that C80, I'm already watching it on Ebay. :)

I know this watch has taken its lumps on this here forum, but I think it looks great in this shot. I don't know that the dial has ever quite looked like this in other photos. I think it helps that the crystal looks practically invisible.
