This used to be my favourite CW and for ages I aspired to get one. Then somebody mentioned the 12 and now my eyes are automatically drawn to it.

Such a shame. :(

I was completely and totally in the same situation, scooter. When the Black version came out, I said to myself, "Self, if a white dialed version ever comes out, it's going to look ace. You will get one!" It was downer, who drew my attention to the 12. The rest of the watch looks so great (not at all bothered by the "small" date window).

Maybe we can hope it will be corrected in some subsequent batch?

Allegedly the numbers of the 12's are slightly misaligned in relation to each other, but having seen this type of number on other watches with the same result, it looks to me to be a feature of the typset used rather than a mistake.

More irritating to some is the fact that the power reserve goes beyond 100% which is a bit odd, but it might just mean they have too much wrist action going on!

I can only assume you're looking at in on a mobile phone rather than a full size screen.

Have a look at this which might help.

I feel somewhat responsible for this. I don't know if it is an error, a design flaw or merely a consequence of the chosen font. Whatever it is, I'm afraid it is the first thing I see when I look at a C90. :(

Actually the first thing the girlfriend said to me is why is there an 8 at the 9 position. And due to the design it does look like an 8 from quite a lot of angles and to a lesser extent the 6. I had too many small design things that I did not like so I sent mine back. I hope they will do a Mk II.

it's hard to tell with a closeup like on the link scooter gave, but holding a straight edge up to it, it does seem a hair off.

the real problem is that when designing things, you often have to design for "optical" instead of mechanical spacing and alignment. the width of those numbers at that size on that face really begs for some optical alignment. and the "1" being ever so slightly higher and ever so slightly rotated clockwise than it probably ought to be is exacerbated by the fact that you might want to have it be slightly rotated counterclockwise from the baseline so it looks optically-aligned, making it look further misaligned than it actually may be.
the "g" is for Greg...
