CWL of the day

Post by gaf1958 »

I was going to say the Sector is an acquired taste, but then so is the watchband! ;)

Does anyone with a Sector understand how it's used, 'cause I'm damned if I do? I know it was related to WWII and the Battle of Britain, but why it is what it is escapes me.

Here's one explanation;- http://home.earthlink.net/~modguide/opsroom.html

and CWL's interpretation as printed in their Owner's Handbook for the C80, Page 7 onwards;- http://www.christopherward.co.uk/skin/f ... manual.pdf

Guy

PS> Strap is Harris Tweed with leather backing from Steveo. Yes; the C80 is an acquired taste. As I've got one I thought I ought to wear it from time to time.

CWL of the day

Post by gaf1958 »

Thanks Guy,

I had no luck trying to make sense of what I found in Google. I never thought to look in the CW manual though!

Harris Tweed eh? So the watch is quintessentially British in almost every respect then isn't it? :) They're really popular though aren't they, they never seem to come up for sale, but that might come down to how many were made too...

Thanks Ferg

You wouldn't think it was almost 8 years old. Other than a slightly loose bezel (which my less than year old C4 also has) it is perfect. I couldn't be happier with it :D
