Loving the glint of the starburst dial, enhanced by the convex crystal (much better than the flat crystal on the Trident MkI) and the blasted case finish cries out 'tool watch' - very happy.

The yellow kingfisher is the very watch that first attracted me to Christopher Ward about five years ago. The reasons were much the same as you described. The dial to me is the big, big attraction on this, it's just gorgeous in all lighting.

Funny you should mention the convex crystal, as it's the reason I was so disappointed in my first C60 - discovering that it had a flat crystal was a big minus to me at the time. It took me a couple of years to warm to the Trident after that, but I now like them both.

Lovely watch mate, but I reckon you can do better than an old khaki NATO.

Thanks for your thoughts Gary, much appreciated.

It's not a new NATO but one bought a couple of years ago from Timefactors. Its olive green and, best bit, has 'blasted' fittings which match the case.

Looking to get the updated version as it happens, with redesigned, but still blasted, fittings and for best may get the C60 black leather in CWL's clearance.

The polished deployment bugs me though. Could always change it perhaps?

Guy, here's a good option IMO for a black strap for the C6:

#gaf1958 - Thanks for the suggestion Gary. I'd looked at Dimodell straps last night, albeit for one with yellow stitching, but I think for now I'll just get the CW black leather as I have a selection of black/yellow strap for my C11 Makaira Elite yet to try.

PS> I've got a 20mm Dimodell with twin white stitching that may be worth trying.

Meanwhile, better combination than yesterday, but spot the deliberate mistake
