Starting to see the first few popping up on Ebay in the UK. Fun watch but honestly cant see how you could seriously wear the watch daily. Shocked it sold out so quick.

Most people have a combination of money and sense, but the proportions vary considerably.

My partner and I are like this with food. £20 for a new tshirt? This one isn't wearing thin enough yet. £200 for an epic meal - TAKE OUR MONEY. Common sense goes completely out of the window.

It’s all relative. I’ll drop $200 for one meal without batting an eye while complaining about another that cost $20. Just depends on the circumstances. I’m suprised with the Desk Diver selling out so quickly, but different strokes for different folks, right?

Agreed, it would be a boring, mundane world if everyone liked and wanted the same things.

I nearly bought one but realised I'd be buying one for the wrong reasons. That aside it does seem that at least one forum member has bought one and I trust they will enjoy it. More than most watch releases, this was not a watch for the masses. It is a watch nerd's watch (you may prefer watch enthusiast...). You need to who seconde/seconde is, you need to know what a desk diver is. And, given the paucity coverage on launch you had to be aware that this was coming. Instagram was effective, very effective.
The majority of the responses in this post have been negative. I don't think the forum was the audience for this watch. I would love to know where the majority of watches were bought. A familiarity with the tedium of modern, corporate life will certainly help appreciating this watch and perhaps being younger also helps.

There is at least one in the forum :-)

I'd previously missed out on a couple of Seconde/Seconde LE's and this combined with being a CW fan (this is now my fifth CW) meant it was a no-brainer.

And yes, I work at a desk a lot of the time - but I find it fun and it makes me smile. The yellow Delugs strap also fits really well. I class it the same as my SU watermelon - neither are the "greatest" watches in my collection but they both raise big smiles, particularly on grey, miserable days!

(I do also spend more time.on Instagram than on here!)

My wife got this as a semi impulse buy. It’s epic.

I see four on US eBay now, and one has a bid in at $1,999... assuming, of course, that it isn't a shill bid. Which it never would be on eBay, naturally.

@Rezn8r - I like your tongue in cheek approach, Andrew.

However, according to the CWArchive Resale Information on the C65 Desk Diver with RRP being $1,195.00 - $1,395.00, five have been sold to date at an average of $1909.00.
