I thought the same. It is a local event for a small number as a bonus. Unlike a big public launch event which might happen in the evening or on a weekend I wouldn't expect a change in the working day of CW staff.

If at all possible those who want to attend may be able to find time much like they would likely have to do to go to the dentist outside of work, although I hope a lot more pleasurable.

For those that can't make it, I assume it will only be a matter of days before it is public anyway. You could see the Dune release even before the CW preview last time, but I'm sure that won't happen again!

CW share the info with a number of groups, reviewers, websites etc., and the only thing we can control is what appears here on the forum. As Kip stated last time, we have given a commitment to honour the embargo, irrespective of what else is "out there". We politely ask all our members to respect that and comply with it. :)

I fully agree and was not suggesting otherwise .

The official date of public release hasn't been normally much more than a week after the preview so I was assuming the same here.

I have spent far too much on watches recently so will give this one a miss, leaving space for others.to have a sneak preview ahead of general release.

Enjoy👍
CW watch count - enough to keep me very happy, but always room for more!

Here's my uninformed guess at "The Twelve."

Looking through CW's current catalog they have three types of external bezels on their watches, a 60 minute rotating dive bezel, a 24 hour rotating GMT bezel, and watches with no rotating bezel.

There is a fourth bezel that CW does not currently use, and that is the 12 hour bezel used to have a simple GMT function without the need for a separate GMT hand on the watch. My guess is that "The Twelve" will be a simple GMT watch with a 12 hour bezel and no dedicated GMT hand.

This type of GMT watch is described in this Gear Patrol article.

OK, I’ll play this game. Based on previous clues, hints and some basic research:

A non-dive sports watch with a fixed dodecagon shaped bezel; chunky Oris Aquis style crown guards; a new integrated ‘Coronation’ or ‘Majesty’ bracelet; and available in either steel or titanium.

Possibly not a million miles away from a IWC Ingenieur, but at a fraction of the cost.

Sadly I am working up to 17:00 that day so I won't be able to attend.
Sounds interesting and I look forward to hearing about it in the future.
Maybe an integrated bracelet watch following on from the latest IWC release of the newer INGENIEUR SL ?
Ferg, they just posted on the CWE Facebook group that their zoom preview is at 17:00 to 17:30 BST if you wanted to jump in on that one.

In association with the CW Forum Admin Team and CW, you are cordially invited to attend a Forum preview of the “The Twelve” that is scheduled for launch late this month. This model looks very intriguing so I am certain this will be an exciting presentation!

Date: Tuesday, April 18th

Time: GMT 3:00 pm (4:00 pm BST) (11:00 am EDT)

Duration: 30 minutes

You must not discuss or show elements of the presentation on the forum (via pm or public post) or ANY OTHER internet platform until AFTER the products have appeared on the CW website. This also applies to any information you might see on any other website or social media platform.[/color]
I apologize in advance if this post is inappropriate Kip, but my post count is currently at 666. There's no way I could leave it that way for the day, so here is a completely random post to put me at 667. I hope you understand my apprehension at being stuck at 666 posts . Delete if inappropriate and I will try to find something scintillating to post instead :D

I’ve just signed up to that one. Having only just returned from holiday on Thursday then having today off for a minor operation, leaving work early for the 4pm preview on Tuesday wouldn’t have gone down too well.

Plenty of wrong guesses. Many a million miles away. A couple that are quite close. Or maybe I am wrong. :)

I can only assume that many don’t bother reading what CW themselves have put in print…

Trying to work out if I can order one to arrive before I am next away.

^^^Let's see.... Straight from the print.

1970s
vintage Royal Oak, Speedmaster, Nautilus
most ergonomic watch they can make
butterfly clasp
stainless steel & titanium (2 versions)
100m WR at least
screw down crown
stepped up finishing

I think the Twelve refers to a 12 sided bezel based on the picture

…….As space is limited……….

It’s obvious isn’t it. “The Twelve” refers to the number of you that will be at the preview. That’s what’s it’s early, to keep numbers down……..
