I’ve got the details page of this open on a browser tab to remind me to have a bash.

I’m no photographer, but I’m going to attempt an effort; you’ve got to be in it to win it after all.

I’ll definitely submit a photo, but considering my Trident is a model no longer available, I suspect the odds are against me. Nothing ventured, nothing gained though, right?

@jkbarnes I fully expect to lose to a legit diver with a professional grade photo of their trident 300 at a 299m depth. I’m still gonna try!

100%

And I don’t blame/begrudge them for that at all. This is a marketing promo, through and through.

However, since your photo has to be of your CW, you have to own one in the first place to enter. Purchase history required.

I’m not entering because I wouldn’t want the prize.

As much as I agree with your chances are pretty slim, the email doesn't state it should be a current model, so as far as I'm concerned as long as it fits the brief ( summer) it should be judged accordingly....
As stated in a subsequent comment, it's all about marketing and we know it just won't happen.
Original fans of the brand who prefer older models are shunned on social media so why would a competition be any different

@angusbon
I agree Chris, no need for it to be a current model, nor a Trident.

However highly likely that it will be a current model….

Hopefully one, that has the hands displayed in a correct position, not all piled up on one part of the dial! :)

Currently thinking whether I ought to take a CW or two, on my next couple of holidays, so that I can take a qualifying pic.

^^^ Posh Chris, how very dare you!

Nothing exotic for the next couple.

Cornwall. Glamping.

Then a “two centre holiday” in…..

The central highlands of Scotland and the Lake District. :)

Three ideal locations for wearing high profile watches, without any worry.

I think I prefer older models because I AM an older model so there is an empathy. The purity of the design language, the clarity and immediate identity of the logo (not to mention positioning in pride of place).....

I've got film in the camera...... now to "Embody the spirit of Trident Summer": dodging British rain showers, being evacuated from a Mediterranean Island, bulk-buying rice ahead of a global shortage, you know the scene.....

Would those entering the competition be willing to share their submissions on the forum? I’d love to see the images people are submitting!

I’d like to point out that in Scotland, a ‘summer’ photography competition that ends on the 27th August is pure discriminatory. We’ve had our summer here - it lasted 10 days - mostly while school kids were sitting their exams. As usual. That’s not ten consecutive days.. We’re into claggy weather now that gives me migraines, occasional chilly mornings that feel like October, and occasional wild hope that summer’s returning. It won’t be.
By the end of August I’ll be making soup and announcing to the dog that ‘the nights are fairly drawing in’

So perhaps we could put together a list of keywords about summer? Something to work with when I go for the competition pic? Thanks
