Yes indeed. The collage of all the entries they posted is pretty cool, but not high enough resolution to really make out much.

I don't think I could have matched that, even with some sun. Well done. :D

I couldn’t have matched that without getting wet. And in Scottish waters my arm would have been bluish... :problem:

Gotta be honest, I’m not too impressed with that winning photo.

Andrew you are being polite! :)

I drafted a post about Stevie Wonder being a judge and deleted it, as I couldn’t be bothered.

No pic should ever win a watch competition with hands pilled up on one part of the dial.

I can only assume that trident 300 sales need a boost… :silent:

Blimey, that was the winning entry?

Glad I didn't enter now as the effort would have gone to waste if a badly exposed and tiny shot of a watch was what the judges were looking for.

Those first entries that CW shared were impressive. At the time, I thought why bother if that’s any indication of the competition. Then, the winner is revealed & I wonder “really?” I guess that you never know.

As I see it, a lot of the pictures taken featured a CW watch, with a summery, but somewhat out of focus background. Had I seen any sun in August I am sure mine would have been a similar idea.

So maybe CW were looking for something rather different, and maybe there weren't many entries featuring a CW in an action shot.

That picture must have needed both a model and a photographer, or maybe the camera was on a tripod, and able to capture a series of shots, and the photographer then picked one of the series.

I can see why the reaction might be a bit "meh", but it was actually quite a tricky brief for a single photo, I think. I would have preferred to see a larger watch, but it's hard to do large watch AND summer.

I like the super compressor picture that @rkovars took, as everything is in focus, but it doesn't scream summer so much. Is it a fishing rod in the background?

Difficult to achieve a crisp focus on the watch in the foreground & sharp background resolution at the same time. Generally it is a one or the other situation unless the background is close at hand. I had a beach picture taken on Kauai with my Sealander that would have been a good candidate. Didn’t use it because the scenic background was not In focus. My congratulations to the winning entry.
