I routinely receive offers for A$170 off. Unusual, as I’m based in the Eurozone and have made all my purchases in €.

I have never received an email from CW, and I doubt that I ever will.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it left

It's a relatively minor inconvenience most of the time.

However, when my notification of a Sale email arrives well after everyone elses, if at all, then I have an issue!!

I know it's all about geography, email providers, and International or local servers but it can be frustrationing to see on social media the great deal someone else got that you never had a chance at.

My emails get miraculously divided into important ones I want to read, and advertising ones I’ve signed up to but don’t follow avidly. No idea how it works but it’s great!

(I just started receiving CW emails recently so they’re there for when I ever want to read them)

I get some CW emails but it seems not as many as others do. And dealing with them, or any, isn’t that big enough of an issue to me. Sorry, not sympathetic. If you don’t want them, delete or ignore. Not all emails need to be read; managing your inbox shouldn’t escalate to the level of hand wringing and gnashing of teeth. Haven’t we moved beyond 1997?

I completely understand the desire to unsubscribe from constant spammers, but at least it's not two a day like Jomashop :)

^^^ I suppose the definition of spam can vary, but I personally don't think of CW or other companies that I use or have used, and trust, as spam.

Annoying, perhaps, but if I'm not interested a quick delete gets rid of it.

I’ve carried on from Thursday, just gone and unsubscribed from quite a few companies. A lot of these were non watch related, clothing etc but most were. I realised I hadn’t purchased anything from them in years but still received lots of emails.
I feel a lot better now :D

A few years ago, I was getting duplicates of every email, and that was annoying. Luckily it was sorted out.

I'm ok with receiving the current volume of their marketing emails, because it's easy from the title to know what to bin without opening:

1. follow-up info/promos for the Aquitaine :-P and any model that is not my thing [I'm always happy and interested to receive the initial announcement of new models, though]
2. links to fluff/non-watch articles [ugh  ]
3. offers/vouchers/discounts for events/holidays that are past or not relevant to me; older reminders as new reminders come in.
4. news that the next Loupe is coming soon [this is really silly - you only need to tell me when it's actually here! That 2nd REAL email is enough ]

I can really empathise with that. About three years ago I booked my annual Christmas holiday in about September, exactly the same package as I had used in the previous couple of years. In the following 10 days or so I received reminders from the travel company, the airline and the airport hotel that perhaps I might like to think about booking again. I just did, you morons.

The other thing that really annoys me is…TEASERS! :problem:

Yes, I dislike it when any recent contact by you with the vendor triggers a barrage of indiscriminate, non-focused marketing emails. Not sure how many businesses have a smart discerning system, apart from the big shopping portals.

But I don't mind teasers, mainly because I know then to visit the forum to read the speculation thread.

In the past, Christopher Ward contacted me to inquire as to which emails I would prefer receiving. They even provided some topics to pick from to ascertain my interest. Didn't seem like a company wishing to spam its customers with irrelevant emails to me. I voluntarily consented to remain on the list for most of them. I am pretty sure it is possible to filter the mailings down some without unsubscribing to all of them. But, that is up to the individual to decide.
