Actually, he acquired it from me! I'd get some gliptone on that strap though, it's not wearing well!

Usually the Tracking number, for DPD / DHL, is on the dispatched email sent to you by CW (assuming you've received one).

The links haven't always worked for orders from the recent sales. Only the two straps and the recent C65 316L order worked for me. In addition, the links won't go live until DPD/DHL have actually picked it up and scanned it at their depot. The dood news is that they are all turning up ok
Are you talking about links in tracking emails?

Ah, no worries, he did mention it came from you Rich, I assumed from the recent sale, but no matter, it's a lovely looking watch

I'm aware that these straps don't wear well and start to flake off... it's my intention to move it onto a black vintage or black tropic (I have a couple of each here) for now and then get something else with a bronze buckle at some later point :D

Edit: I recall you put the same strap onto your C65 Ombre and that worked very well, black goes well with a blue dial so should be a good strap for it 8)

Gliptone make leather cleaner and conditioner (separate products), typically for automotive leather upholstery.

It’s been advised on here that Gliptone conditioner might preserve the CW distressed straps. Lest they look like mine after two years:

Wow, they really don't wear well at all do they

I'm certainly to wear mine with black leather or tropic to start with and try putting something on the distressed (literally  ) strap... my partner has various stuff here also for conditioning horse saddles, so will investigate

That’s the very one now on your bronze prototype!

The January sale finally allowed me the opportunity to upgrade my 25 year old Seiko.

You're right, they really don't wear at all well do they. I think these distressed strap are designed to look excellent on arrival and then rapidly become (very) distressed quickly

As I said, I was aware of this (I'd seen some threads showing wear), so intended to pop it off that strap anyway and keep in the box, which would be a shame because they look really cool when new... may try this conditioner and see how it fares, thanks for the tip

Oh and thanks for the opportunity (via Kev) to own this watch. I don't have a bronze, but have recently picked up a couple of interesting C65 variants, as you've seen :D

I tried taking it up with CS last week, but they said that it was acceptable wear!
